I actually got an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas a few years ago. It's kind of a sad story, my parents divorced when I was 5. My mom and I left in the middle of the night. She said I cried for my EBO. A few years ago, I was talking about one, and how cool I thought it was. Well, she got me one for Christmas. We were 47 and 29 at the time, and we spent the afternoon 'baking'. It was a lot of fun. :goodvibes My mother had kept my tupperware cake carrier play set. Remember those?

Well, it's all the 70's colors, harvest gold, avacado, brown, and tan. It has the mini cake carrier, server, and plates. After we made our cake, we served it up on those! I know we're crazy! :goodvibes

I just got a wonderful response from Lorealle about the Entertainment Card issue:

Thank you so much for letting me know about this, and for your patience with me in getting back to you!

YES! You are absolutely entitled to the rate! Just have everyone that had a room fax in a copy of their valid Entertainment Card in to 714-533-3578 to the attention of Joanne/Front Desk Manager with the details of their room reservation [last name/arrival date/confirmation number] so that she can go ahead and action that for them. [They’ll also probably want to give them a contact phone number or email address so that she can follow up to let you know it’s been taken care of.]

Again, I’m so sorry for the delay!

Hi everyone!

The weather was supposed to cool off and it did a bit, but I've got the a/c on here in SoCal.

Ick. I cannot stand being at DL when it's like that. Sounds like we picked some good dates for this last trip. The crowds weren't too bad and the weather was darn near perfect.

Should be fun.........me and four kids cooped up in the house together all week long.......:scared1:

That is scary, Beth! Yes, our Diva trip was magic with the low crowds and the mild weather. It really makes a huge difference in the experience. I was sitting in Tomorrowland yesterday near the restrooms waiting for someone and the noise was so loud I thought I'd go nuts if I had to work there.

I took the Walk In Walts Footsteps, learned a little bit, could have lead it myself, the cm, with all my comments and questions kept looking at me like why are you on this?

Girl, you sound like you'll fit in just fine here! BTW, I came not knowing anyone and not even being on the thread that long and it was great.

I plan on taking her over to DCA but I'm going to ask her if she even wants to park hop first, why waste $25?

Yes, I forgot, I'm so spoiled by having an AP this year (thanks to Disney's b-day giveaway!) Can't wait to hear how your day went.

Kelly, sorry to hear this nightmare for you continuing. You deserve a break.

I'm doing a dinner tomorrow night, something I don't do very often anymore. A friend of my DH (and his gf) coming over. He ONLY eats salmon, so that has to be the entree. I think I'll bake it.

Beth... when i grew up... i always wanted a easy bake oven.. and i never got one.. never ever... * T H I S * year for christmas.. my parents gave me a easy bake oven.. and my grandchildren and i bake little cakes and cookies!:yay:
aahh... thanks about the pics.
This was a special trip for my mother.
She grew up one of 6 children and her father worked for the railroad.. she never dreamed she would get to go to Disneylandyet always longed to. So last year when we took her for the first time.. it just opened up the child in her. I feel so grateful for that.

Maybe Your mom can come this year.
I remember you saying that and thinking it was so neat that they got you one. :goodvibes

It's very cool you and your mom can share these Disney trips. My mom is (gasp) NOT a Disney fan at all. She's more of a nature person. If I told her I wanted to take her to Alaska or a cabin in the mountains somewhere, then she'd be a happy camper. (literally, lol)

My best friend always wanted an Easy Bake oven growing up, but never got one. I bought her one for her 18th birthday and she said it was the best gift she's ever gotten. :rotfl2:
How cute. I think fun gifts like that a nice to give and receive.

Y
My grandma did buy us (as in all of the billion of grandkids) the first Nintendo, but it stayed at her house. So unless we were at her house, you couldn't play it.
:rotfl2: Gotta get the kids to visit somehow.

Beth, I've received MANY of 'those' questions. My DH couldn't believe what people were asking. A lot of the ones that I would get like that were opinion questions, and so I had to answer them! :scared1: I use the ChaCha crystal ball answers a lot for those!
Those naughty questions are the best. I could answer those all day. I'd get so annoyed when one about sports or politics would come through. I'd complain to Stacie that I wasn't getting enough of the good questions. LOL

Even though it would cost me $$ to change the ticket, I was thinking if I could get a "cheap" i.e., $250 or less -- ticket at a better time/route I would switch. But alas, I can get it the day before, but not MY date. Aaarrrrggghhhhh!
Sorry your stressing. Travel, especially air travel, can be a huge pain in the butt. :headache:

WendyLouWho have you ever ChaChaed?

I know some people on Dis really love it.
I may have to explore it.

CheryL... i was doing the same thing with my flights the other day.. and i even changed them, i messed them up and ended up having to cancel them all { 2 sets and rebook at 12 dollars higher:headache: } now i am leaving them alone.

Beth.... that's my daughter... she's Nature lover..... she's into camping and nature... she can go with your mom:rotfl2: and we will go to Disneyland:lmao:

Awww, that part is sweet. :)

Well, I don't have a fax machine. I wonder since I showed mine for Sunday if I still have to do this.

You are a better woman than I.
I'd order it from somewhere. :rolleyes1

WendyLouWho have you ever ChaChaed?

Nope. I had signed up under Stacielee and I never took the test 'cause it was when ChaCha was having all their problems. Now I'm too scared to go back, 'cause I'm a baby like that.

I showed mine too when I checked in--but still just faxed it over. If you want to mail it to me instead I can fax it from here for you. Or I'm sure you could mail it rather than fax it directly to Hojo.

Well, maybe I will email Lorealle and ask her if I still need to do this since I showed it for Sunday night. I mean, I got the Ent rate for that night so she knows I had to have shown it.
If she says I still need to, then I will ask about mailing a copy in.
Thanks for the offer though.

aahhh sweet story heather!

BoCk BoCk, baby monkey wendy:hug:

$400 that's alot!

hhmmm.. now i'm afraid to try it... *bock bocK*

toocherie, I knew there was a reason I hadn't yet mailed you a check....yeah, that's it...it has nothing at all to do with my inherent laziness, nope, not at all!

But is it going to make a difference in what I owe you anyway?

Yes, so sit tight until I figure out what the "real total" was. Both nights you were there are now discounted. (or, if you're bored--find me a cheap air ticket!)

They are coming out to fix mom's wheelchair on Monday and she hates the one I gave her that is the spare one. I go to rehab for testing to see if I need an ECV. Mom is on a rampage so I pigged out on chips and diet coke.

I loved Tonka trucks best and spent many years digging tunnels and playing in the back yard.

Cannot ChaCha as the only cell phone I own was gifted to an ex friend's daughter for her graduation present. I know that there are places online you can text without a cell phone but too much work, besides I know how to find experts.

Calvin wants a Sunday in the park so it will be the last Sunday this month or the last two Sundays in April. All trips are iffy as I cannot afford the ECV rental and we may have to buy mom a wheelchair that she likes for $400 if hers cannot be fixed. We have not owned it for 5 years. I hate beauracracy.

Carry on ladies. Back to my corner trying to figure how to get to parks without that chair. I got my D23 card and no info really other than it is just to prove membership, go figure that out. Visa sent me a ton of papers about rewards and perks.

okey dokey.

When are you trying to fly? Is this for WDW next week? I'll look back at your posts to see what'cha need. I'm helping E do some learning work right now and he's sort of OK with me looking at the computer....:upsidedow
