Girls Only Disneyland Trip ~ Old thread, link to new one in first post

Evening all! I am back from my day! Had to work today and on top of EVERYTHING else Shane and I are back thinking we might want to house hunt again. Since our lovely prez is offering that great fed credit and they are offering a state one too you can get almost 20,000 in credits if you buy the right home right now and we didn't think we could afford one before but if we bought a cheaper one than we were trying to get before it JUST might work. Plus the rates are lower than what they were last time we were looking.

Anyway at lunch mom and I went looking and found a few cute things so that was kind of fun. Always love to house hunt, esp when it is for ME!

Of course we were looking at repo's so a lot of them are yucko but one was really nice but much smaller than my house so that would be a big adjustment plus the bed we are currently using belongs to my parents as well as the dinning room set so I would have to buy some new furniture too so that would suck but who knows. We shall see.

But anyway when I got home Shane got a call from my mom and she got a call from Lynn and she and a "friend" want to meet my parents and Shane at Dennys for breakfast tomorrow to "talk". I told Shane boy would I LOVE to sit in the next booth over to see WHO she is with and hear THAT conversation. Cuz I kNOW they are going to leave stuff out. Plus if she thinks she can just be gone for 4 days on a nice little mini vacation and then come get a free meal and start demanding stuff she is nuts! I think she thinks that my parents or Shane is going to support her in some apartment somewhere so she can go lead some life of leisure well I think NOT! I printed off the info that says she can NOT even get a GED yet. You have to be at least 18 or close to graduating and she still needs 80 credits to graduate NOT just 2 classes like she told us. So she is not sitting as pretty as she thinks.

It is going to be REAL interesting to say the least. I will be on pins and needles to he gets home I know that!

Oh and P. S. the movie was GREAT! We went and saw the Knowing with Nick Cage and it was REALLY good!

So are you considering using Owners Locker at some point in the future? I was looking at it and it sounds really cool...but then I couldn't hlep but think...I have family in Orlando and near Daytona Beach...couldn't I just leave something with my aunt for free?

I like looking at kayak.com...they look at every airline site except for Southwest...but I don't find anything under 309 r/t for those dates, and THAT is going into Melbourne.

The 25th, however...259.


There's a flight out of Ontario on the 25th on Southwest for 109 plus tax/fees.

I got my D23 pin from Disney Movie Rewards in the mail today. It's cute. They were even nice enough to stick in a flyer for the D23 club, and of course they didn't put the price of joining the club on the flyer.

I also got some info on the Villas at the Grand. It made me want to be back at Disneyland!

When are the Villas supposed to be finished anywho?
I was there today eating at Steakhouse 55 for breakfast, CHERYL! YOU ROCK FOR SUGGESTING IT TO ME!

Well we arrived home about 1 hour ago and I jumped in the shower because I felt so icky

This is pretty much how it all went down:
- didn't get on the road until 9am (we were supposed to leave at 8ammothers, yeesh!)
- Were 15 minutes late to our breakfast reservation at Steakhouse 55 but it was ok because they were not busy at all. Goofy's Kitchen, now that was different story. My mom took one look at the GF check-in line and she's like "You're not taking me there, right?!?!"
- Thoroughly enjoyed Steakhouse 55 (DELICIOUS!)
- Got in a very short line at the ticket booth to get my mom's ticket
- Headed over to DCA & got a fastpass for Soarin'
- Mullholland Madness (My mom freaked out )
- Saw Aladdin (Mom loved it )
- Ate lunch at Taste Pilot's Grill
- Headed over to Disneyland
- Took a coffee & cookie break (I bit my tongue while eating the cookie and it bled continuously for about 3 hours, we were a bit worried so we went to First Aid after the first 1hr to rinse my mouth out several times and got some gauze. The nurses showed me an unofficial hidden Mickey because my mom told them that I was a complete Disney freak

- Back to DCA for Soarin' and shopping
- Back to DL for Buzz
- Got in line for POTC (I was really irked and frustrated by the CMs. They stopped letting people load (we were the next ones) and they would unload the people and just send empty boats. No until after they send 10+ boats did they tell us that we had to go back the way we came because they were experiencing technical difficulties. UGH! Just tell us right away, I wasted 15-20 minutes standing there and thinking I'm about to get on POTC.

Morning all! I had a migraine of all migraines last night. GEE wonder why LOL.

But anyway then Katy came in and couldn't sleep so that drove us nuts half the night but anyway I am up now and Shane will be leaving here in a bout an hour and then I will probably take the girls out and get "us" some breakfast and go pick up twilight at walmart.

I know I will be on pins and needles till I hear from them but anyway it shall be interesting.

Anyway we want to go look at some houses today but of course it was BEAUTIFUL all week and now it is going to rain this weekend. FIGURES!
