Sounds like you all had a great time altho I would like to find out what happened on the VIP Tour (What post does that start on?).

I think I would be interested in your 3rd trip. I'll have to see if I can get someone to go with me.

We are going to the Aquarium of The Pacific Saturday and then having lunch at Bubba Gumps. Breezy has 50% off coupons (for the aquarium, not lunch), so we are driving to Long Beach for the day.

Hey all! I passed my ChaCha test. I always get freaked out by tests.

I've made a whole 57 cents today (I was only on for 5 minutes). At this rate I'll have a enough to buy a corn dog and date shake in October!

On the other hand, Luke, our kindergartener, totally doesn't even want to go. He's been to these things every year since he can remember, watching Ryan sing, and he's sooooooo over it. He asked if he could bring his PSP to play at the concert.....and he even promised to put it down to clap between the dumb songs (his words, not mine). I told him NO WAY JOSE! Yep, it's tough being a little brother.....too bad.....get over it.

I let my 6 year old bring his DS thingy to the band concert. I did make him mute it, but it wouldn't have mattered with all that racket!

Welcome to the new gals, Kristen and Rita! Hope that one or both of you might join us next year!!

Well yesterday we got both some e-mails AND some phone calls from Lynn as well as Shane and I talked to her best friend. I also was able to access my phone bill from when she stayed here while I was on the ladies trip and I got a BUNCH of calls to a number and had a friend whose number she wouldn't recognize call it and it was some guy named Brian's number. So I asked her BFF who he was and she said I didn't want to know. He was some 22 year old guy that she met at the drive through in McDonald's and when I told her friend that I found the note about her sneaking out and drinking she said "she does that EVERY night". She has been going out with this older guy and he is getting her drunk and drugged and sleeping with her, it is REALLY Bad!

Her friend thought she might be with him or she could still be with the friend she works with at McDonalds but regardless whoever she was with was kicking her out and she had sent her a message via myspace asking her friend if she could sneak in her window and spend the night or else she would be on the streets last night. Lovely eh? she was ALSO supposed to go to a concert at one of the big local churches cuz she was STILL going to this youth group on monday nights that her boss at McD's is a big part of and she actually still wanted to go which just amazes me cuz she is DEF leading a double life but I think it is more for the social part of it for sure.

But I guess Shane told her if she went that her boss was going to turn her in. He should have kept his mouth shut and that would have been the end of it. I hate to say it but in a way I hope she didn't get to stay at her friends and I hope that she ended up having to spend the night on the streets so she FINALLY "got it". She admitted to us a long time ago that she has never had any consequences. She told her dad yesterday that she "might" come home in the next few days just to pick up some stuff but she doesn't want ME there. Yeah whatever I haven't even been around her in weeks cuz she has been living at my parents house and I told Shane she is just using me as a scapegoat like always.

She is trying to break shane and I up and like if "kelly" isn't there then I will come home but if she is then I won't. Well WHATEVER that aint happening. Plus my parents don't really want her there now either cuz they don't trust her. They are besides themselves. They are afraid of this druggie guy. It is just a mess. The crazy part is she is trying to blame ME for everything and the stupid part is I haven't even been AROUND her and she was STILL pulling crap when she was at my parents house for the last three weeks and she has NO excuses for this last stunt. They were REALLY lenient with her letting her use the phone and getting away with a LOT. Now she is trying to say Oh don't have "kelly" there. Yeah whatever, I wasn't even AROUND her when she ran in the first place. And guess what my parents around going to be gone this weekend so if she chooses to come back ON the weekend they won't let her stay there if they aren't there and they honestly don't want her back now that she has broken their trust and so she has NO choices. It is either come back HERE and deal with me or nothing. Plus we told her she just can't NOT go to school. She is now a truant and whether she likes it or not you HAVE to go to school. It's the law and we have the school on our side on that one!

So it SHALL be interesting.

Anyway I am off to work today and then tonight we HOPE to go to dinner and a movie with the girls but I guess it all depends on if she decides to come home tonight or what have you.

We'd love to have you join us, and the good news is, with the next trip being so far off, you have lots of time to start saving. Also since not everyone is required to do the same things on the trip (as in a planned tour) you can customize it to fit your needs. Maybe skip some of the tours, or sit down meals to make it a little less expensive.

I hope you can join us. And as others have said, don't worry about finding someone to go with you. Most of the ladies don't have anyone with them, and travel solo. I can guarantee you it will still be lots of fun and you will meet many new wonderful ladies. This really is a great group.

Ick. I cannot stand being at DL when it's like that. Sounds like we picked some good dates for this last trip. The crowds weren't too bad and the weather was darn near perfect.

My kids haven't even had their Spring Break yet. Not until the week of April 6-10. We have no plans what so ever since Ruben works that whole week. Should be fun.........me and four kids cooped up in the house together all week long.......

There's nothing worse than not getting what you paid for, especially at DL. Glad everything worked out. I took the Walk In Walts Footsteps, learned a little bit, could have lead it myself, the cm, with all my comments and questions kept looking at me like why are you on this? But the pin was cool!

Now that my kids are a bit older its still weird that I have time to myself in the Park, but kind of neat too. Im not worried about travelling by myself, just that I wont know anyone. What was that comment about not biting, or most of you dont?
I look forward to chatting with and getting to know you all!

I didn't know anyone either. I only knew them from the boards. I met Capri at the airport. Believe it or not I am pretty shy, most of the time. I like to people watch, but everyone makes you feel welcomed.

I'm in Tucson for another year and then we are moving back east. I miss my family. We are only in Tucson to work as travel nurses. I was a DLR virgin on this last trip, and had the best time. It was great to hang with a group of ladies, and just run around, shop, eat, and chat. What fun! I knew noone when I started posting on the thread, but quickly made friends. You'll have a great time!

The Jazz Kitchen gumbo is VERY good. Yummy in fact! I didn't have a good gumbo recipe that I actually liked, and hubby and I LOVE the Jazz Kitchen gumbo, so I just did a search online for it and voila! There it was. I actually double the recipe for my family of four.....maybe we're hearty eaters, but I swear, the recipe given didn't make very much, sooooooo why not double it I say.

Sometimes I also add in shrimp and/or crab towards the end (10 minutes before serving it) if we want more of a seafood gumbo. But usually I only do that when making it for guests or a special occasion.


Sometimes he watches the DC......very rarely as he's more into Nickelodeon (when he's not playing his PSP), but you never know. Maybe he did see it on something from the DC.
