On my knee. I slipped on the ice & tore my MCL. From being a reformed, very large girl , my knee is shot. I am in PT right now to see if it will get better on its own, but it seems to be getting worse.
Ya I am ok. I stopped taking the pain med tho, it made all silly & retarded!!

In fact, 2011 is the year Ruben and I both turn 40 and we are hoping against hope to do an Alaskan cruise.

Beth, my MIL wanted that cruise for a big b-day so we took her on it. It was amazing, esp the side excursions as long as you're not afraid of small planes. Beautiful country up there.

Here is a similar recipe to how i make mine.. i just add a pinch of cumin and a pinch of fresh new mexican chili powder.

That looks sooooooo good! I'd cook it with everyting except the cilantro. We just don't like the taste of cilantro. The cumin and mexican chili powder sounds good though.

DH & I went to DL yesterday for my birthday. Had a good time (even though we got there late and the 2 times we went to get on Space Mtn it was broke/down). Had dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. SO good and perfect sharing amounts.

Tickets are on sale now. They had a preview sale back in January for Disney visa card members, but it they are on sale for general public now.

I want to see it so bad, but I want good seats for that one.

My DH & I saw Mama Mia the week before it closed. It is the same theater that Lion King is going to be playing in. We also saw the Lion King at the Paramount in Seattle before we moved so I won't be going back to see it in Vegas (though would definately be worth the 2nd trip). Having been in the theater and seen the show, I would suggest the 2nd section of the theater (not the balcony) in the first row as center as possible.

BTW, the Nemo mini musical at WDW was fabulous! Look for that to come to Broadway or tour eventually.

Is that not @ WDW anymore? We never got a chance to see it.

Catching up on this thread and feeling like I want to die!! Picked up some stomach bug over the weekend that is not fun at all. Made it through 6 hours of work purely because I hadn't eaten since yesterday. tried some chicken noodle when I got home which was NOT a good move...lol.

But since I don't feel like doing anything (even though I really should catch up on school) I've had a great time catching up on lots of DIS threads for the past few days.

And...only because you will all understand my madness....am I crazy to be thinking about purchasing some add on points at BLT when I just bought into DVC at VGC??? I swear the planning has made me insane, and I am plotting out trips for the next few years already, and thinking the 220 points I started with won't really be enough and I should add on 100 more at BLT also.

Just trying to figure out a way to talk to the hubby about it..lol. I used a bonus I received at work for VGC so that was easier to rationalize.

Hope you are feeling better! You are SO not crazy to be thinking about BLT. My DH & I went to the open house yesterday and that is the one where we decided we would buy points. Some reasons we came up with: He loves the monorail; It's close to all the coolest resorts; We might not rent a car if we stayed on the monorail; The point cost is as much as the GCA and some others.

You should try to decide by today as their benefit offers change tomorrow (though don't know if this would be for the better or worse).

Meanwhile, say a little prayer for me... our state legislature is supposedly voting tomorrow as to whether or not they will be substantially raising the cost of our health care (while reducing coverage of course) AND making everyone take a pay cut in our base salary.

Since both Dave and I work for state schools this could be devastating to our family budget--ie no more Premium APs and cancellation of all our trips that I have already planned and booked for the next year. But, beyond the personal impact, this could be devastating for the state of Nevada. There are so many families here that are just getting by. I look at one of my colleagues who is supporting a wife and two young kids (3 and 1.5) on 39K a year. I really don't know how they would survive on less... Here's to hoping that the politicians for once look out for their constituents!

Good luck with that. Hopefully the legislature understands that nothing can be fixed if we don't educate our future and give opportunities to the next generation (just think what generation will be in power when we are on social security - don't you want them to be intelligent and well educated too?).

So I'll go in 2010, skip 2011, and then go again in 2012. If we are still doing them by then that is.

I have seen some of the specials on the travel channel spotlight the nemo show and it looked really good. Glad it's not gone and it would be cool to see a more official stage show with more puppetry sometime (like lion king & that nemo show).

First of all Heather I am VERY sorry for your family for their loss of your brother in law!! My prayers are with you all!

Jane I know how VERY important health care is and I too will be thinking about you guys. It is rough here too and now that I have been diagnosed as Bipolar I have been told that I better NOT switch insurances because I am basically uninsurable if I try to switch. GREAT! So I know ALL too well about the fight with insurances. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you!!

Deb I hope that your knee surgery goes well. Shane had his ACL replaced and I know it is a big deal. Good luck with that.

Anyway I went to see my doc today and he wants to increase my stupid meds AGAIN because I told them I didn't really notice any difference on them so now I have to take 2 in the a.m. and 4 at night. BLEH. They are like horse pills and I already take a whole handfull of other stuff for my headaches and my bladder. I HATE pills. I am so anxious what the neurologist tells me tomorrow. I am hoping maybe I can get less pills or something different for my headaches.

But anyway I went over to the galleria while I was waiting for my apt and they weren't open! They said they are opening later and closing earlier because of the economy! SCARY! I also got my hair cut this morning and the normal gal wasn't their so I got a butcher job again. WAY too short. Not as bad as the one time but still too short! UGH!

But at least it is cut and I had a dreaded cinnabon. It was SO good but I have gained back some weight since I have been on these pills. Figures. I REALLY have to get things under control or not only am I NOT going to lose anymore I am going to gain back all I lost.

Anyway then on my way home from the doc Shane said he got two e-mails from lynn. One was this big long convo between Lynn and this guy that she went to see where she is at and she is now trying to black mail him or some bs and I guess she wants Shane to try and get involved by charging statutory rape charges or some baloney but he said he is not going to get involved unless she agrees to come home first!

And THEN she sent a second one saying that she found a family that she wants to stay with that get this "cares about her and wants to adopt her". WHATEVER!!! Like we don't! PUHLEZE!!! Excuse me we only raised her her entire life and have search reports out for her and people looking for her and people e-mailing her constantly and on and on.

She is SO delusional. Plus like I told shane these people REALLY care by letting her skip school, pierce herself, drink, do drugs. What kind of family ARE they the Manson family? Geez!

Anyway enough of that. She can't do it so whatever! Plus she had the nerve to ask if we would send her birth certificate and social. Uh NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm curious to see what the itinerary will be for that ship. Think it will just go to Mexico? If so, I'll pass. I've been down there before and I'm not a fan of the hot weather.
It would be awesome if it would head up to Alaska. Most Alaskan cruises leave out of Seattle area, but not all.

I hope you can get some different or less pills too. I'm a lousy pill taker. I can only take them with soda for some reason. Otherwise I can't swallow them.

I'm home for a few hours before going back to school. Next week is Spring Break I doubt we're doing anything special. In fact, I think my dad is taking the whole week off to finish remodeling my parents' room. For some reason I felt like going camping

It will be good for me though because then I can get a chance to do a whole week's worth of exercise and eating right without having to deal with school schedules.

I'm going to relax, play some trauma center on the Wii, chores than homework. I don't know where my mom is though, my little sister got out at 1:45 today and they aren't home
