*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

You are doing what you need to do. If you need to talk or vent, I am here. Please feel free.

Thanks.

BTW--- I LOVE my gift! You rock! It totally made my day.:goodvibes

Oh sorry Michelle, it has been crazy since I got home and I totally forgot to update you guys LOL.

Well basically we went in and got the SAME PO that we had last time and of course Lynn was NOT happy about that LOL. She was NOT happy to see Lynn's paperwork on her desk again and did NOT take any crap from her. She asked her WHY she was no longer at the grandma's and Lynn try to say that it just wasn't working out and yadda yadda and I piped up and mentioned that NO that is NOT what happened and that she ran off with the boyfriend and got kicked out and that they are no longer wanting her there at all. So she has burned THAT bridge. I am sure Lynn was po'd with me for saying that but Shane told me NOT to let her lie. Anyway then she talked about her job and she lied again telling her that she had been laid off and I SO wanted to pipe up and tell her that she only worked 4 hours and that she had asked for time off and they fired her but I just kept my mouth shut cuz I figured it really didn't matter at that point. I think the PO knew what was going on. She saw RIGHT through Lynn. Anyway then she asked about her schooling and didn't buy how she could graduate when she quit school midway through her jr year and still had all of her sr year and yet she was only going to the continuation for a few months and was supposedly going to graduate. She wanted Lynn to give me and HER the number so we could verify it and she said she didn't see how she could go in Sutter county when she is living here. I DID call the school when I got home and the teacher told me it IS illegal but since she was almost done she would overlook it but if she didn't finish by next week she would HAVE to re-enroll in a school here and start a whole new term. Anyway the PO asked my mom and I if we wanted her on informal or formal and frankly I thought she should be put on formal to teach her a lesson but again I just kept my mouth shut cuz my mom spoke up and said she wanted to give her "another chance" which is ALL she has been getting all along but whatever. So she is on informal for 6 months and she HAS to live with us or my mom. She has a curfew and can NOT break any rules. She can't smoke, drink, do drugs etc. If she were in any type of regular school she cannot have any absences etc. She is on a very short leash and she also has to do 20 hours of community service. My girls are doing vacation bible school in 2 weeks and I wanted her to do it anyway so she had something constructive to do instead of laying around the house all day and when we told her at church on Sunday she threw a fit but now she HAS to do it to get her community service hours.

Anyway the PO also told her that if she screws up even ONCE that not only does it go to formal probation and she gets arrested and goes STRAIGHT to jail but that it goes past 18 till 21. So she just doesn't get out of it when she turns 18 anymore AND it goes on her permanent record. So hopefully THIS will scare her into getting a clue. We shall see. We told her that as SOON as she gets her diploma next week, IF she does she immediately needs to go get a job. So that is her obligations for the next 6 months. When THAT is done she will be 18 and she can do what she wants. So we shall see!

Wow, you poor lady. It seems like it never ends. I hope that it scares her into getting her act together. Someday she will regret all of this and all the pain she put you guys through.

Just wanted to say a quick hello and that I am thinking about all of you, especially January. Hang in there my friend. I know it's incredibly hard, but you are doing the best possible thing that you can do for yourself and for Maddie. She will be so much better off not being in a household where mom and dad aren't getting along.

I'm working super hard at work this week in order to take a few days off and not be too far behind afterwards, so I have had even less time than usual for the boards. Given everything that has been going on in our lives in the past 6 to 8 weeks this is a very well deserved rest--especially for Dave who has been getting up between 5:30 and 6:00 am with Ty as he is no longer sleeping in now that he's in his toddler bed!

Miss you all!!!!

I will be honest. I am scared and lonely right now. But I know I am doing the right thing. I cannot be married to someone I can't trust.

January, it helps when you know you are doing the right thing and from what you've said, I'm 100 percent behind you.

I have been through a divorce and once you get through to the other side, it is a new awakening. We are all looking forward to seeing you in February.

January - First  to you. I've been through a divorce too and I had been married for 21 years, I was the one who initiated it. I was scared and felt very lonely too. I learned that I could be self sufficient and I really only had myself and my daughter to take care of. I have been divorced for 7 years now and I've never regretted my decision. It was difficult at times but like Donna said once you get to the other side it's an amazing self discovery adventure! :goodvibes

Wow! You need hugs too! I am glad that you have the PO behind you maybe that will help.

January, more hugs to you.
Brianne was 20 months old when I left her daddy and filed for divorce - it was soooo hard, but the best thing I ever did for me and my baby girl. Hang in there.:)

I love that we have a schedule, only I pronounce it Shed-u-ale like a giddy bloody brit. I KNOW, i am weird! I was hoping to add a DTD place or even offsite (maybe Mim's?) just to mix it up a bit. SH fo9llowed by free time, followed by GK seems PERFECT to me for Sat.:thumbsup2

Excuse all my typo's, I am using Little Lulu and this tiny thing is very hard to type on!

Trudi & Sarah, I hope you both come in Oct.

Beth, can you add Brianne and I to the list of rooms at Hojo's? Thank you.

Hi dearest Dawn!
Goofy's Kitchen is in the Disneyland hotel! :goodvibes

Seriously, you ladies are just so wonderful. :goodvibes

So I am pleased to announce, my Mom will be joining our trip next year! Yay for another Diva!

She's been really down and out lately with her surgery and work. I took her shopping today and it just popped in my mind she needs to come with me! I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. She's so excited and after I post this I'm going to show her the schedule and last year's pictures.

Plus, I've been wanting to take to her DL for so long. February is just the perfect amount of time to save (for the both of us) so we can have an enjoyable trip and to splurge a little.

I'm so excited to meet you all. I know she is too. :wizard:

Biggest of Hugs for Cristabel! You know..I've never been to or in the Disneyland Hotel.

I'm going to print out the list of things to do and share it with my mom this weekend.

We had alot of fun on the walk in walt's footsteps tour. I thought we might do it again. Yet i've read on the disneyland board that they have been out of the pins for months and are telling the people on the tour they will mail them out.

Courtney!!!!! That's Super Great News:yay: Yeahhhhhh I'm so HaPpPy Your Mom is getting to come!

Alrighty I have another question... Lunch at Ariels ... is that from a menu or a buffet?

Thanks everyone for answering my questions. I'm a little dufus:upsidedow

Hey girlie girl! Haven't seen you around much. Miss you!!!

Ariels is off a menu. They bring you our an appetizer thing on three plates stacked. You choose your lunch off the menu. Then dessert is broungt out on a platter to share. My trip report last year had pics from it too.

I'm going to try to post some pictures from Kiera's birthday party! Hopefully it will work!

Oh, and Glenn just got a message on his cell phone....to lay him off work. Yup, by message. To me that sounds like a pretty crappy way of telling someone they no longer have employment! Anyway, he should find out tomorrow whether or not he gets the job he interviewed for and if not then he will start the job search in earnest and apply for unemployment. We will also take the kids out of daycare to save money. I have volunteered for almost everyday for overtime...I don't know if there is any available, but if there is I will hopefully get it.

Have a great evening all.

Sarah

 & :wizard: A little pixie dust in hopes he got the job he interviewed for. I agree that is the wrong way to tell a person they are no longer employed.

January, Can I punch your soon to be XDH out!!:mad::mad::mad: He's a jerk, and you are just too nice to have that happen to you. Especially with one of your friends. (She needs to be punched out too!) :rolleyes1

I wish I could give you the :hug:biggest :hug:of hugs, and tell you that everything will be fine. And it will be, but I know that it is going to take some time. I am so glad that you have your family close by to surround you and Maddie with love and support. That is so important in times like this.

And never ever apologize for asking for our prayers and support. That is what is so nice about our group of ladies....we are here for you and each other. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I'm adding you to my list of prayers! Take care and God Bless.

Melody:hug::hug::hug:

:)Dawn, my friend, we were wondering where you have been! I was just gonna pm you, so glad you posted.

We really liked Ariel's for lunch. Of course it was expensive, but the princesses gushing over DH was priceless - oh, and they did dote on breezy and I a bit, too.;)

Courtney, I am so glad your mom is coming - I can't wait to meet her. What is her name?

Sarah, what did you and DBF name the darling white kitty? I know you were tossing names around...

No problem. I sat this one out too. But I agree with Sarah, you must do the next one. It's a Halloween theme and sign-ups will begin in September. If I recall correctly, you were also a big Halloween fan. :thumbsup2 And hopefully we'll get to see you again in October. The parks are amazing at Halloween time.

I am in for the Halloween exchange !! I love Halloween. Sarah and I were just talking about going in October. Now that we have passes we have no excuse for not going ! I just avoid the summer heat.

My goodness, there is alot going on here. I can hardly keep up.

Capri and Sarah, Here is some pixie dust for jobs for your DH's!! pixiedust:

Courtney, Yay for your Mom coming!:yay::grouphug:

Ann, Welcome from a lady who definitely older than 21!!

Dawn, We need to take a nice stroll down to the DL hotel. You would like it! :cloud9:

Yes we are having a scavenger hunt!!:cool1: I can't wait to get started on it!! :hyper:

My news.........Our well just went dry this afternoon. This is not good news.:headache::mad::headache:

I know that I am forgetting something.

Hola to all the other Divas!!
