Yay...the girls are back in town! I've seen a couple of pics from the Vegas trip and it looks like you all were having a great tim!
Love and Light for everyone.. i ended up getting really sick at the end of the trip with my asthma and i'm still feeling really bad.
Dawn - I hope you are 100% soon!
Hello ladies!!!!! I've missed you all so much! I can't believe I was off line for a whole week!!
Tonight Ruben and I are going to see The Lion King. It was our 16 year anniversary yesterday and we are celebrating this weekend.
You were missed around here too! Happy 16th Anniversary! That is awesome and I hope you enjoyed Lion King. I've seen it twice and have enjoyed it both times.
Hi girls!
I got home late, late last night. I had a long drive home from Spokane last night.
How is your knee?
another good morning drive-by!
My big Vegas news is that the last night we went downtown and as we were walking into Binions for dinner a penny slot machine "called" to me--so after dinner I went and played it while everyone else went to watch the Fremont Street experience--and I won $850! woo hoo!
Yay Cheryl! And who says you can't win anything on the penny slot machines!
Did Bella survive ok without her mommy?
Hi ladies. I need to vent and I can't do it on Facebook.
After 12 years of living in this house and 19 years in Phoenix, I honestly don't feel like I have any real friends here. I have put out pleas for help on this moving day for weeks. The one and only person who agreed to help was my brother in law, and that was mainly because my father in law told him he had to help. The moving truck arrived this morning and of course we get the call that Dan's brother hurt his back and can't come. His back was fine last night when we called to confirm that he was coming.
We have a piano and a refrigerator and a couple really heavy dressers. And I have Dan and his 78 year old father who is having back surgery in a couple weeks here to try to do it all themselves.
I just want to cry. And then I want to say good riddance to this place and all the people who obviously don't care one little bit for us.
Thanks for letting me vent,
Callie
That totally sucks and it is so amazing how everyone is scarce when you need to move. I am so thankful for my mom and dad because they were there for every move the past 7 years but they can't lift a lot either but at least they were there. I hired movers the last time to load the truck and then Bob thought that he had all the help we needed on the CA end to unload...nope! Everyone was busy that day so luckily one of his neighbors was curious as to how we were going to move all of my stuff into Bob's house and we wrangled him into helping with the heavy things.
I hope you find that kind of help when you arrive in WA.
BTW, we loved Vancouver. Stanley Park was amazing, we spent half a day there. Shopped on Robson St, ate dinner at a place next to our hotel called Joey's. It was really good and the service was wonderful. We had perfect weather and walked around quite a bit. Everyone is very excited about the Olympics coming, the city is spending a fortune preparing. The hotel they built down on the water just for the media is beautiful! And gas is over $1 a liter, wow, expensive! And we were facinated by the streetlights how they blink while green if a pedestrian has pushed the cross button. Lots of traffic - foot and vehicle - all through the town.
We loved Vancouver too and we want to go back! Isn't Stanley Park the best?? I wish we had something like it near where I live. I loved everything about the city and I found the people very friendly.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful first of the week! My trip is getting so much better

I'm becoming less and less the size of a bus... I just quit taking the steroids the swelling was too bad. The hives are GONE

Now we're at the Grand Canyon and I have internet again so I wanted to post some pictures.
Glad to hear that your hives are better and that your trip is going well! We drove a U-haul from CO to CA last Sept. and I know how tiring it can be but it looks like you are having fun sightseeing along the way! Did you happen to drive through Colorado at all?
I am enjoying my time in Denver but I've caught a cold which is slowing me down some. I really hope my cold is gone by tomorrow because I don't want to give it to my mom and I really want to spend some time with her before her surgery on Thurs. because I leave early on Friday morning. I love spending time with my sister and my niece and nephews! I am going out for drinks with some of my coworkers tomorrow night which will be fun! The time is going too quickly but I am missing Mr. CA and can't wait to see him on Friday!

Life would be perfect if I could live near my family with Mr. CA but that's not going to happen so I'll just keep SW airlines in business.
Hi to everyone!
