My big Vegas news is that the last night we went downtown and as we were walking into Binions for dinner a penny slot machine "called" to me--so after dinner I went and played it while everyone else went to watch the Fremont Street experience--and I won $850! woo hoo!

Hi ladies. I need to vent and I can't do it on Facebook.

After 12 years of living in this house and 19 years in Phoenix, I honestly don't feel like I have any real friends here. I have put out pleas for help on this moving day for weeks. The one and only person who agreed to help was my brother in law, and that was mainly because my father in law told him he had to help. The moving truck arrived this morning and of course we get the call that Dan's brother hurt his back and can't come. His back was fine last night when we called to confirm that he was coming.

We have a piano and a refrigerator and a couple really heavy dressers. And I have Dan and his 78 year old father who is having back surgery in a couple weeks here to try to do it all themselves.

I just want to cry. And then I want to say good riddance to this place and all the people who obviously don't care one little bit for us.

My whole family and some friends will be going on our annual camping trip to the beach, at the end of July. I belive this will be our 22 year to go there. We love it!! But what is not to love about laying in the sun, reading a book, building sand castles, walking along the shore and picking up shells, swimming in the ocean, playing volleyball, cooking over a firepit, (even pizzas!),making smores and cowboy cobbler and yadda yadda yadda!!! But the absolute best part of the whole trip, is that all of our children still come with us. We are blessed!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the prayers for my family. My Mom's work hours got bumped back up to 35 hours/week and she got hired for a part time job. We're so excited that things will hopefully be getting back to normal. Thank you everyone.

Oh and Dawn to add to your question as you guys all probably are sick of me mentioning, you were asking about anyone having any trips, well as you know we are going to D.C. but now we have added a few days in New York. I don't know if everyone knew that part. I am REALLY excited about that. I have ALWAYS wanted to go to both places and we probably won't be able to do EVERYTHING we want to do in both places but we will certainly get a good taste.

We plan to see the Empire State bldg and Liberty Island/Ellis Island for sure and then probably traipse around times square and central park and possibly even see a show on Broadway if it works out and not too expensive (they have those last min tix). I am SO excited! Plus I have ALWAYS wanted to see our nations cap. We won't get to go to ALL the museums since we don't have enough time but we will go to the important ones and hopefully get to see most of the monuments.

And since mom can't go with us now she wants to take 2 days and take the girls and I and spend the night in San Francisco and go see the King Tut exhibit. So we are thinking about doing that in a few weeks. So that is my plans until Oct when we are going on the halloween trip! Can't WAIT for that one!!!!

Don't forget to contact your Congressman Kelly! Oh and I saw the King Tut exibit in LA a few years ago. Went on a field trip with Kaitlyn. It was pretty cool. But the Metro Museum in NYC is really impressive too. I belive even more so! Be sure to check it out!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful first of the week! My trip is getting so much better I'm becoming less and less the size of a bus... I just quit taking the steroids the swelling was too bad. The hives are GONE Now we're at the Grand Canyon and I have internet again so I wanted to post some pictures.

I am enjoying my time in Denver but I've caught a cold which is slowing me down some. I really hope my cold is gone by tomorrow because I don't want to give it to my mom and I really want to spend some time with her before her surgery on Thurs. because I leave early on Friday morning. I love spending time with my sister and my niece and nephews! I am going out for drinks with some of my coworkers tomorrow night which will be fun! The time is going too quickly but I am missing Mr. CA and can't wait to see him on Friday! Life would be perfect if I could live near my family with Mr. CA but that's not going to happen so I'll just keep SW airlines in business.

I could get face masks in colors to match my what I am wearing that would impress them! I am better tonight but still coughing. I guess I will see how I am tomorrow and stay on the other side of the room! Does anyone know if you are contagious with a cold the entire time you have a cold?

My mom has thyroid cancer. She had her thyroid removed a couple years ago but her surgeon left in a tiny bit so that she would still produce the hormones hopefully so she could avoid taking medication for the rest of her life but that little piece is now cancerous so they will take out the remainder. We are hoping it is contained to that piece only.

I really liked the NQQ1 rooms we had in '08 way better than the ones we had this year. They were very spacious and the sink outside of the bathroom helped us get ready a little faster. If I do room in a NQQ1 bed I'll miss the "one huge bed" feeling we had this year jk

We loved Vancouver too and we want to go back! Isn't Stanley Park the best?? I wish we had something like it near where I live. I loved everything about the city and I found the people very friendly.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure we want to do Carnation, Cafe Orleans, Wine Country Trattoria, and some kind of appetizer meal at the Cove Bar. I'd also be up for one of the Mexican places in either park.

I was wondering if any of you have read the reviews lately about the Thunder BBQ? Sounds like it might be kind of good. Expensive, but it is a character/show kind of meal.

Well I'm off to get some stitches taken out of my back. Had a mole that had some bad stuff in it, so they took out a nice chunk the next time. Everything should be fine now. It was not melanoma, thank goodness.

The rest of the day, Kaitlyn and I are taking off a border in her room and starting all over again. The border is coming off in one inch pieces! It's time to bring out the works!!!

The weather is stange today. Cloudy! Not good! That means that we will be feeling like we live in the south. Hot and humid!!! Last night when I went to bed around 9:30pm, it was still 90 degrees outside!!! But that is the life we live in Central California! Thank goodness we have a pool! We have been in it everyday so far this year!!!

Good Morning!

DH is home from work again today. He was sick on Sunday, sent home early at 11am yesterday, and then called off completely today. All this togetherness is nice, but his paycheck won't be!

Not much going on here. Janelle, Beth is correct, Stacie already booked our room. I hunted her down on FB yesterday to make sure she knew about the ent rate being available. We are going to have so much fun!

I'm loving all the Vegas pics over there! Some of them made me laugh so hard, DH thought I'd lost my mind. You all have to check them, join FB if you have to. I'm hoping to see even more today!

Morning all! Oh my GOSH is it hot! WHEW! Yesterday I had to run out to the doctor and then the rest of the day I ended up staying home with the girls till swim and then when we went it was MISERABLE. Like 107! BLEH! I was absolutely SOAKED by the time we were done and we had Katy swim the same session as shelby so we didn't have to sit there even longer then we needed to.

We also FINALLY went and saw tranformers and liked it. Like others have said I don't know if I liked as much as the first but I liked it. The story never seems to be as good but I still liked it although they had the AC cranked so cold I was freezing so I just couldn't wait to leave so it made it a bit hard to enjoy LOL.

Nothing going on for today so I plan to just workout and stay INSIDE as much as possible LOL. I am hoping it cools off before the weekend. Super hot 4ths are miserable. We always used to go to our local parade but I don't know if we are going to do that this year or not. We did it for years but we skipped it this past year and I am not sure if we are going to do it this year or not. It is SO hot! Anyway I hope everyone has a GREAT day today!

We've talked about several others, but nothing set just yet. I'd love it if you could make a PS once it gets closer. I'm sure we will need several volunteers just like last time, especially for places like CC.

Yes, thank goodness!! I had a skin check the other week, and so far they all seem ok, but there was one the dermatologist wanted me to watch for any changes just in case. Scary stuff.

My play time is over. Ruben's back at work. He took the whole week off and used his paid leave to watch the kids while I went out and played with the ladies every day and night.

My in-laws had come to visit so now I need to do repair work here as they always make a mess!! And of course laundry.

But first I have to go get my BBs squished at the docs. I'm nervous. My mom had breast cancer, so I hope it all goes ok.

Oh yeah Beth I don't envy you living in Vegas during the summer LOL. I remember how awfully hot it gets. YUCKO! For all the benefits Vegas has that is def NOT one of them LOL. WHEW! Esp on the strip with all that asphalt. WHEW!!! When I was there in July it was like 120 degrees. From the heat reflecting off the blacktop. YOWIE! I remember walking from our hotel to the Luxor and literally crying because I was SO hot. I was SO wishing we had rented a car!

Our measly 107 probably seems cool compared to some of the temps you all get there eh?
