Gingerbread in the Grand Californian????

We are finally going to DL in December!!!! I was wondering if they offer Gingerbread Shingles like in Grand Floridian in Grand Californian?

The Shingles are slathered with Dark Chocolate, thick and make a great breakfast in the room the next morning!

I’m here right now. No shingles on sale, but they have gingerbread (in other shapes) and other treats on sale in the GCH lobby. They’re quite pricey though at I think around $9 each, so I’ve passed on them and am just getting other gingerbread stuff from the parks...

Not quite sure what you mean by that? I've tried the samples they were handing out in the lobby of the GCH and it's fairly comparable to the gingerbread men being sold in the parks to me...

I’m pretty sure they meant the situation is bad because it is so expensive. Not that the gingerbread itself is low quality.

So far gingerbread has been fairly good here! On my second gingerbread man in as many days...

I think a few years ago I vaguely recall a shingle being sold there but it was a piece of gingerbread- nothing with chocolate I don’t think. It’s been a long time and now they don’t have them sadly. The gingerbread men they do sell there and in the parks are yummy though and a family favorite for us

Are they the same cookie? An iced gingerbread man possibly with a gold cardboard backing? If they are, then Jolly Holiday has them for $4.49 and GCH sells them for $9. That's quite an upcharge.

Wow double the price for the same thing?! Hmm, check out the Grand California section in the latest Mice Chat update & they do look like the same cookie as Jolly Holiday to me. Am I wrong?

They are the same cookie as far as I know- I didn’t realize the grand was charging so much this year! We always buy them in the park I guess or maybe last year they weren’t so pricey at the hotel? That’s nuts! My mom is the one that consistently buys them (I usually get a wider variety of sugar haha) and she knew what the cost was better then I did (she would share them with my kiddos). Guess we will not be buying them there this year- that is price gouging at it’s Disney finest right there.....

Can anyone here please take a picture of the front and back of the cookies at both locations? I contacted DisneylandToday on Twitter and they direct messaged me back saying that the cookies might not be the same.

Oh my!! Those cookies look wonderful!!! What I would not do to taste one of those yummy looking cookies. I wish I lived closer to DL so I could purchase one or two, but a plane ride from the Midwest to California would be a bit tiring...LOL!!!

I doubt they are different.... we aren’t headed down until Monday afternoon so hopefully someone there before that can photo proof it’s the same one lol although I’m sure they have an answer for that too
