Ging Gang Goolie 2008, 23rd May, Tal-y-Bont On Usk

good reaction so far - phew, she was also telling me that they have had new shower block and toilets on the bottom field and they are now providing far more food choices in the cafe, so sounds like some work has taken place over the winter

We have got our own tent as well. How much is it per night to bring your own tent?

Claire, it is £6 per adult per night, for those with children, over eight is £1.50 per night, under eight free

We're in Jules. I'll PM you my Phone number and we can chat about it tonight.

I'm a bit disturbed Jules, the website says:

we are just a 5-minute walk away from 3 very famous public houses- The White Hart Inn, The Star Inn and the Travellers Rest.

I live next door but one to the The Star Inn and the Travellers rest is road the corner!

So are we actually planning to camp at my house, I have no garden you know!

The campsite sounds really nice and i'm really looking forward to it!

oh no guys, Claire rumbled us :lmao:

It is nice there Claire, not much going on around there, but perfect for what we need

A big yes from the Churchill household! Sounds like a plan to us. Now all you need to do is get her to put in fire pits, matting and sheepskin rugs;)

Jules

Sounds like Gilestone are bending over backwards to accommodate us - which is so kind of them.

We are up for the marquee option as it would then give us somewhere to gather should the heaven's open - which of course they won't. Shame we can't have the open fire in it though as that was lovely - I might bring an electric one instead though in case it gets nippy at night:rotfl:

I just need to check whether the girls are still up for it or not and will get back to you before we go with a definitive number from the Stringer contingency

Tam

praise be, we have a result, I will buy bl**dy sheepskin rugs for you my darling Matt LOL. Tam, you have a point about the leccy fires and we have two that we can bring for it. If the weather is kind I know they have an area where they are prepared to light a fire for us, so thats an option. It seems so far that Carol wants to kip down in the marquee, so I am assuming that Jen and Alex will want to too, so Churchills and Stringers are you happy to get your shushy in it too, it sounds like it is plenty big enough at 20 foot by 40 foot. They want £150 for it, and I agree it will be a great base for us should it rain, would everyone be up to paying a share towards is at our party pad, I reckon £10 a head would cover it, and if thats not quite enough I am happy to pay the difference - would that be ok, and then of course anyone who wants to shushy in it would be welcome - is that ok ???

Jules, I do not want bloody sheepskin rugs, I want clean ones! Otherwise we could nick some sheep and sleep on them instead:rotfl2:

We are happy to sleep in the marquee, in fact I'm happy to sleep anywhere I can stand up fully and anywhere near an open bottle of red!!

We'll pay whatever you think we should (but not all, before Mr. S suggests it!!).
