Yes, another yummy Pepper Market breakfast! Then we headed over to the bus stop to get to Disney-MGM Studios bright and early. Well, guess what? Were just in time for the character caravan again! This time, its the White Rabbit, Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum! We catch the bus to the Studios and find ourselves at the front of the line for rope drop yet again! Also once again, we are in the mass of bodies walking down Sunset Boulevard. We snag a Fastpass for Rock n Roller Coaster, ride it right away, go over & ride Tower of Terror, grab a Fastpass for Tower of Terror, ride Rock n Roller Coaster again with our Fastpass, ride Tower of Terror again with the Fastpass (still with me?) and arrive just in time to see Beauty & the Beast Live. Whew! Then we head to the Brown Derby for lunch. Jan orders Cobb Salad (something new again for her!) and I order the Barbecue Chicken Caesar. The waiter offers us the drink special of the day its called a Poinsettia and is champagne, cranberry juice & Grand Marnier. Sounds good we each order one. Well, my breakfast was really light, so it goes right to my head, as is evidenced when I go to have a sip and the straw goes up my nose. A passing CM giggles and brings us Mickey straws so that we can drink them easier. More raucous laughter.
After grapefruit cake dessert (yum!), we head to Animation Courtyard for the Animation Tour (where many tears are shed in the Disney Classics theater). When we come out, were just in time for the next show of Voyage of the Little Mermaid. At this point, the rain is starting to threaten again, but it mostly just drizzles .even so, we make the decision to skip the 2:30 parade and just spend more time in the park. So we head down to One Mans Dream, which we thought was really inspiring. I didnt see the sign asking people not to take pictures and had already taken three when a CM politely let me know that we werent supposed to. Jan dubs the pictures One Mans Crime and I hang my head in shame. I hope they keep One Mans Dream around its really a neat tribute to Walt and seems a nice fit for the Studios. Afterwards, we went to the Backlot Tour, where we picked up another new catch phrase for the trip. We were behind a mom with a baby and the mom was speaking to the baby (you have to imagine the capital letters in this section are about two octaves higher than normal human speech): Dont drop your PASS-ie. Its your FAVE-rite. If you LOSE it, well be in TROUB-le. If we had a nickel for everytime we repeated this mantra during the rest of the trip, it probably would have paid our hotel bill.
After the Backlot Tour, we wandered up New York Street to Muppet Vision 3D. Once again, it wasnt fair for the rest of the audience because Waldo found me and spoke only to me! The funny thing is that Jan said he did the same to her how could that be? We started heading over to Sunset Boulevard to get our seats for Fantasmic, stopping along the way for a short trip on Star Tours. We were seated in the Pocahontas section for Fantasmic and they turned out to be great seats! This show amazes me apparently there was a problem with the dragon because after only a short pause, Maleficent rose back up and cast a magic spell herself to set the lake on fire and the dragon never came out. I asked a CM about it later and she said she was just as surprised as I was. I had always heard they are equipped to deal with any problem in a moments notice during that show it was neat to see it in action.
When we got back home, we had dinner at the Pepper Market and then went back to our room. After a full day in each park, we were beat and looking forward to a day off.
Tomorrow: Downtown Disney Marketplace for shopping and then who knows?
