Hi, my hubby and his siblings have never ever exchange gifts for their b-days. Last week was my hubby's b-day and his bro comes over (with his new girlfriend) and gives him a $60 gift card to a store. This gift was really nice but we were kinda caught off gaurd cuz we dont usually exchange for b-days, just x-mas. My hubby's bro is not financial stable which is y we were so shocked he gave him a gift, especially one so expensive. The card was written out by the new girlfriend, so I'm kinda thinking this gift was her idea, or maybe he was trying to impress his new girl friend by getting his bro an expensive b-day gift, i dont know? Anyway...his bro's b-day is coming up next week and I was wondering if we have to get his bro a gift now? I think its really sweet that his brother thought of him on his b-day but on the other hand its like, y did he start this? We already have so many people to buy for at christmas, y start this new b-day tradition. Maybe I'm just reading too much into this. I dont want to seem rude if we dont get his bro anything for his b-day. What do u all think?
