Gift Basket

My friend and her family just moved into a different house and I wanted to get them a gift basket along with the gift that I am already sending them. I wanted to find something at a resonalbe rate for the whole family. Does anyone have any suggestions and websites?

Or, if I made my own basket, what would you put in it? They already have everything they really need from their past house, so I was thinking of edible items.

I like to make "We've moved" cards for friends/family that have moved-
you could also include postage stamps & new address book...

How about:
*gift certificates for dinner at a restaurant in their new area -
or if you live nearby, you could give them *a coupon for a homemade dinner - (on one of those busy nights when they are still settling in),
*maybe tickets to a local event in their new town,
*a notebook for them to put all their warranties, new appliance info, maintenance records, etc. in.
*a mini album with photos of the friends they had to leave behind & space for them to put photos of their new friends they'll make
*receiving homemade cookies in the mail is always fun!

I don't live close to this friend-I live in Hawaii and she lives now in Missouri, so not sure how baked items would do. If I lived close to her, I would love to put together a basket of crossaints, bagels, muffins, with special spreads and such.
I like the idea of a notebook for all their important papers-I will look into that. Someone else also suggested a movie basket, so maybe I will do both of those things.

I know you've already decided on an idea for your friend's basket, but here's one i love to do, especially for Christmas gifts...


Movie Mania Basket

Contents include:

A Teddy Bear for a Scary Movie
A Candle for a Romantic Movie
Kleenex for a Sad Movie

Also I add a gift card to a movie rental place, microwave popcorn, and big boxes of movie candies...I place all of these in a big bowl that can be used as the popcorn bowl.
