Gift basket in room upon arrival?

I knowI've seen this somewhere before but I swear I can't remember.

The Disney hotels can arrange to have a gift basket in your room upon check-in full of disney stuff? Like Mickey stuff toys, Mickey ears hat with names embroderd already, soda mugs, etc?

I want to do a basket "from Mickey" for my BF and I in honor of BF's first visit to WDW.

If this can be done, please let me know who to call.

Either WDW Florist or Gifts Of A Lifetime can do it.

I wouldn't arrange to have it in your room upon check in. Until you are actually checked in that room can be assigned to someone else. Another party may be enjoying your surprise.

Arrange to have it delivered later in the day or when you head off to the parks.

hmmm...we won't arrive at the hotel until around 7pm. And I wanted the mickey hats for our first full day of touring the next morning. This could be a problem....

I'd call the WDW florist, tell them you want it for check in and when you will be checking in.

Hotels often resist putting anything in the rooms prior to arrival because sometimes guests get assigned different rooms etc... (this happeded to me once - balloons and flowers were to be waiting in the room and they were not, but the bell hop who took us to our room said "whoops, I think I know where they are" (they were delived to another empty room)

Anyway, you could have it delivered to the front desk and held for you. When you check in ask if it has arrived - TELL THEM IT IS A SURPRISE and, now that you have arrived, you would like for it to be delivered to the room for your BF. You might even have a note written out already to hand the front desk clerk with the info to try to keep it more of a secret.

Having said all that, WDW florist may be able to get it in the room for you since you will be arriving late anyway.

We have used Gifts of a Lifetime 3 times. There has never been a problem getting the basket delivered to our room before we get into it. In fact, one time we asked for a different room than the front desk had assigned us, and somehow they STILL got the basket there before us.

This apparently does depend on the hotel, though. Every time we order, GoL tells us that some hotels will not do it. We've had it done at WL and BC.

E-mail GoL and ask them. They are very good to work with.

WDW Florist are fantastic, they actually only deliver to the front desk of the resort and then the resort actually gets it to your room. You could probablly have it delivered the day of arrival to the front desk and request that the CM at check-in tell your BF that Mickey had left him something and present it to him right there in the lobby. When you place your order make sure you give them all the information and they will note it on your reservation and all should be taken care of for you.

That's exactly what POR told DH when he wanted flowers waiting for me in my room when I checked in (first solo trip). They waited til I was in and settled, just a couple hours, before delivering them. It was a good thing, too, since I requested a move from my assigned room. Someone else would have walked in and there would have been flowers there!
