Ghost Whisperer Premiere

Yea, I saw the light and I think I'll cross over before the show is canceled.
:lmao:

First Moonlight and now GW, "off with their heads"!

For me, the first one this season, was Desperate Housewives, with that 5 year time jump. I switched to True Blood, on HBO in the same time slot. :thumbsup2

Grey's Anatomy is heading there, after the last couple of episodes.

And now this show. :sad1:

Well they jumped the shark and I'm jumping ship. After I leave here I am headed to write a scathing letter to the powers that be and one to Jennifer Love Hewitt. Shame really cause it was the only decent thing on TV on Friday's. Oh well I guess I get to watch more Planet Green TV and get some more scrapbooks done.

OK, maybe not scathing, but more of a shame on you letter.

Well, I think I am officially done. Too bad, I have been a loyal viewer from the beginning, but I simply cannot watch GW anymore now that it has taken this turn. I hate that Jim died and kept hoping he would "wake up" from his coma and the whole thing was him dreaming. I was disappointed when prof. Payne left, and now that Jim is gone, I just can't watch.

That was beyond stupid. Why kill Jim and then put him in another body? Will they have two people playing the character now? How will Melinda explain falling in love just weeks after her husband dies? Will he know he's Jim?

It didn't sound at the end like he would know who he was (based on what he said and on the previews of next week's show).

I completely agree with how stupid I thought the show was. The last time they had somebody take over a body (for their 10 year high school reunion), the body started to decompose, but the previews indicated that he would be in this one indefinitely.

I was very, very unhappy with how the direction the show has taken and don't think I can stay with it much longer (and it was hands down my favorite show since Eureka can't seem to stay on the air for long at a time :headache: ).

I think that's a good idea. I'll follow yours up with one of my own...

Wait a minute, I know that I missed one or two episodes, but my goodness! Look at what I missed! I have not read the entirety of this thread. So I want to make sure that I understand what happened, please. Jim is dead? Why? Is this a dream sequence? Like with Dallas, and the Bobby Ewing shower scene, where after one full season, and his having been buried no less, he shows up in is widows shower one morning! I could not believe that, it was not like he was in a coma. He was suppose to be dead. I could not accept that his wife, had dreamnt an entire season! If a few episodes had been like that, then perhaps. But when something like that is being done, for an entire season, that is when I say, sorry, I cannot accept that. I stopped watching that series as a result, and it happened to end up being the second to the final season. I still liked the show, however, just felt too manipulated by the shows producers, so as to remain a loyal viewer. Unfortunately it sounds like GW, is going to be the same way, if it is not already.

Well, even though most of us don't like the storyline, it looks like the writers/producers are assured of a big audience tonight, probably drawing in people who haven't watched in awhile, just to see the outcome.

Maybe she'll be pregnant and the baby will be a little tiny David Conrad. They'll superimpose his head on a baby's body. :scared:
Considering what they did do with the story, they probably seriously considered that idea.:lmao:
Wow, um....does anyone feel that they have really and truly "jumped the shark"?

Come on, Jim is a ghost that takes over a dead guy's spirit and reanimates the body, but the brain only has the memories of the original owner. This is just so freakin' messed up.

:rolleyes1

spoilers above
They more than jumped the shark.:boat:
They jumped it, circled several times and then jumped it over and over again. And, that was before the show was half over.

::yes::
I was hoping that the whole 'dead' part was him dreaming when he was in a kind of half conscious state.
Now it's just creepy (and not in a good creepy way).:sad2:

UGH, I had to miss tonight's episode and I was really hoping to come here and read something good. :sad2:
Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me...I don't think I'll be able to watch her just jump into a relationship with another character (even if it is a pseudo-Jim). This is the most poorly written storyline I've seen in ages. :headache:

Since they had a funeral (Jim was accidentally shot by a police officer while wrestling with someone with a gun), I'm guessing he really is dead (as opposed to being in a coma like we hoped). And I am NOT happy about it.

I LOVED Moonlight and was soooo disappointed when it was cancelled. Now, it's replacement is already gone. What a waste of a good show.

As far as GW, It's really sad they decided to take the show down this path. I guess, this will be it's last season.

Maybe, the can just have three hour "The Price Is Right" specials.:rolleyes1

I just watched it. I can't imagine what the writers/producers thought would be so amazing about the show with this twist. I'm just disappointed.

What's the difference between him not crossing over and him jumping in a new body? It's still him and doesn't he still need to cross over?

www.cbs.com all the way at the bottom is a link to user feedback. Select Ghost Whisperer and type your message.

I can't seem to find a way to contact Jennifer Love Hewitt, hard to decipher the real websites from the obsessed fan websites. The "official" JLH site doesn't seem to have a link and I don't have Myspace to send her a message to her myspace page.

That's exactly what I thought. After all they had to say about what a wonderful story line was coming, I cannot believe how ridiculous tonight's show was. NONE of the story was any good. It was really pathetic.

Uh, oh. Seems like we still have new people clicking on this thread. Since we have two Mods here also reading this thread, can one of you change/add to the thread tilte that this is a Spoiler thread now? . . .not that it will matter much as no one will be watching next week. :sad1:

It would have to be done by a Mod on this board. I would do it if I could, but I am not able to.

I don't have a problem with spoilers. I am just trying to figure out, what I have missed. Matter of fact, tonights episode is on now. I should go and watch it. That way, I will only have 2 or 3 episodes from this season to see when they are repeated, that I had missed.

Ewww! Yes, now I'm remembering that episode. The body did decompose . :p

Yes, according to that episode above, Melinda did need to cross that person over.

Also, what I don't get is, this show was supposed to help people think that their loved ones may be stuck here & need help & closure to cross over. It was a comforting show. Like maybe, there is a real possibility that that happens. Taking this turn is now going into straight fantasy. :sad2:

O.
M.
G.

I watched this week hoping they'd be able to redeem themselves. I was so wrong. :sad2: I cried almost the entire episode and then was left dumbfounded at the end. (yes, I need a life :lmao: ) This is the only show I watch with regularity and it really annoys me that it became so lame.
