Ghost Whisperer Premiere

I'm not too happy with Jim jumping into the dead body either! Isn't this just like the episode where the ghost took over a classmates dead body to go to a class reunion. The body deteriorated in that episode, how romantic! LOL

But those bodies were still dead. When Jim jumped into the body it came back to life.

I did a survey today for MGM entertainment, one question was "is this show weaker now" and I said yes and gave my reasons. I am not even sure if I want to watch it next week. :sad2:

But those bodies were still dead. When Jim jumped into the body it came back to life.
but, the spirit that belonged to that body had left it, so it was dead (just not dead for more than a fraction of a second).
Lucky that guy seemed to be in a hurry to go into the light and didn't want to fight for his body:lmao:

Now maybe if that dead body had been as cute as Jim or cuter it might be worth watching ;)

I went & did some digging over at the cbs.com link BernardandMissBianca provided. At the forum there, someone gave a link to future spoilers of the show:

melindaverse.com then click on Episodes & it gives a list of the upcoming episodes.

Next week is the last new episode for 2 weeks because of the holiday, then it lists more new episodes till Feb.

This guy, Kenneth Mitchell, is the body Jim jumped into. His name is Sam. He is in the next SIX episodes! according to Imdb.com.

The description for Pieces of You, says:
"Melinda tracks down a girl who has been missing for 12 years and discovers a long-held secret. It is a mystery involving a wishing well which uncovers information about the decades-old disappearance of the little girl, now haunting Sam…"

So, yes, this storyline is staying. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I'll tune into the beginning of next week to see how they reconcile Jim being in the other body. Then I am jumping ship. :boat: Not interested in being bitten by the shark any further. I'm not interested in seeing Melinda loving another man, in another body, yet, really her husband. :upsidedow

Thanks for the link! They have this posted for an upcoming episode:
"February, 2009
As Melinda and Sam decide to give dating a try, Melinda must also help the ghost of Deborah Marks protect her teenage daughter from a supposedly bad-news boyfriend.…"

Gag me! :sad2: BTW, After the next new episode they are showing reruns for 2 weeks... won't that seem a bit queer knowing they are killing Jim off???? :rolleyes1

Everyone out of the water!!! Shark!!!!:scared1:

so I think this is interesting. From the link that Imzadi shared, CBS had 11.67 million viewers. Now for the interesting part, what will the numbers be this coming Friday? I have the distinct feeling they will be waaayyyyyy lower.
I think the wave they were riding crested last week and now there will be a total wipe out. Watch out for feeding sharks.

Is Super Nanny on next Friday?

I vaguely recall seeing that. Yep, lame.
the funniest thing was that with his jacket and his swimsuit, he looked like he just removed his jeans to jump in his underwear.:lmao:

At least Jim looked good when he jumped the shark.:thumbsup2

I agree it is a weird idea why kill him off if he's just going to be kept around anyway- and will we see him as the "old" Jim or as rhe other guy?

"February, 2009
As Melinda and Sam decide to give dating a try,

So Jim won't remember her even in February.

:lmao: What (horrible) memories that brings back!
Remember, they only had three stations back then, so if people weren't watching what was showing on the other 2 networks, they most likely were tuned to Happy Days.

It must have been horrible as a collective audience to watch & go:

Yes, they could have at least put him in black swim trunks.

and will we see him as the "old" Jim or as the other guy?

I'm guessing both. That they are slowly going to wean the audience off of David Conrad, to the new Jim/Sam. It sounds like "Sam" will be the one on the date with Melinda.

I wonder if David Conrad accidentally groped JLH or something? :confused3 I often complained she turns away from him, barely looks at him when she's talking about the ghosts. He's there for her, but her body language is usually away from him, (like she likes to be hugged from behind,) unless she absolutely has to be toward him while kissing him.

Maybe, she's the one who wanted Conrad removed, and the writers knew there would be an uproar if they simply killed him off, so instead, they figure to wean people onto a new actor playing Jim. :confused3 Very strange.

According to the producers of Ghost Whisperer David isn't going anywhere but in an article I read he was talking about moving back east (PA). :confused3

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Ghost-Whisperers-Jim-35412.aspx

TV Guide: If this season is the end for your char-acter, what will you do next?
Conrad: Hopefully I've saved enough money to move back East and live a very inexpensive lifestyle... just stop doing things that I don't have my heart in. I hope I have the sense to just choose stuff in the remaining years of my actor life that I can really sink my teeth into.

certainly doesn't read like he's a happy guy. And I do have to say the intimate scenes are a bit more icy then they were in the beginning and few and far between. I wonder if her Fiancee had some thing to do with it. Her clothes are a lot less revealing this season too. Hmmmm.....

But IMDB is saying "Sam" is going to be on for 6 episodes, then what? That will take us to what, the end of this season?

This is reading more and more like the Ray switch on Due South. They had a replacement actor playing Ray, insisting he was Ray when everyone on the show and viewing knew he wasn't . It was the big elephant in the room no one talked about.

Ok so if the guy really wanted to leave, then just kill him....none of this jumping into a dead guys body! OR they could have replaced him....then killed him off:lmao:

whatever way I am/will be sad to see him go:sad2:

Naw, it's the holiday season. The networks figure people aren't watching much TV anyhow except for football games and Christmas specials.

All very good possibilities, not that I like any of them. I figure if anything,in the beginning of this new story line, when Melinda is looking at Jim, the original actor will be seen. When anyone else is looking at him, since you cannot have a real dead guy walking about, one will then see the other actor. It is just a thought.
I love the wardrobe that JLH, wears as Melinda. Who ever is in charge of wardrobe, does a wonderful job of dressing her character. When the wardrobe people are not busy with the series, please send them over to my house. I could use all of the help that I can muster, to look just half as good as the actress does. ;) he he Seriously! :)

Actually, my last hypothesis about Jim being in a coma came out so wrong, don't put too much stock in my guesses anymore. :rotfl:

So what did you think about them jumping around & dancing at the funeral home? Did you turn to your loved one and say "You'd better not do that at my funeral" or "Go ahead & celebrate my life like that".

I told him to make sure they played "Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Seager.:thumbsup2
