May 29Th the new season starts. I was watching the Augustine Lighthouse pt 2 last night. Wow I forgot how scary it was.

My favorite from this season was the Wright episode. Lots of unexplained stuff from that one.

I recently found out that TAPS is going to be in NH at the Mount Washington Hotel located in Bretton Woods for a weekend long paranormal retreat. TAPS did an investigation at this hotel a couple episodes ago. I can't remember what they discovered. I thought it would be so cool to go to something like this and meet everyone from TAPS but the price is way out of my budget. I have a litttle story to pass along. When I lived with my folks (think teenager), my bedroom and my sister's bedroom was in the basement (split level house) side by side. I always slept with my door closed and I have no idea what woke me up but when I looked towards my closed door (which my full sized bed was right next to; I was sleeping on the furthest side away from the door) I thought I saw my sister standing there. I was like "Michelle, what's the matter?" She didn't answer. I'm like "Michelle?" and the figure started coming towards me. By this time I'm like "Michelle?!!!!!" and fumblling to turn on my bedside lamp. NOTHING! NO ONE WAS THERE! Totally freaked me out! I just rolled over, covered my head and tried to go back to sleep while the light was still on. Ghost or what? Who knows!

Ouch that's pricey! But they sure are selling out everything. Plus that Mt Washington event is a Beyond Reality thing and I've heard that they're expensive.

Interesting that they'll be at the Queen Mary after what someone there tried to pull. I love that ship so I'm glad they're going back.

I don't usually mention this but after my grandfather died my mother and I both had things happen to us but we didn't say anything. I didn't find out until much later that something odd had happened to her the same day as me.

Good story but it might have been a residual haunting meaning because your GF was in so much pain as he spent time in the room the emotional energy stayed behind. Maybe your fear produced emotional energy which was a catalyst for this to be released.

Just one hint....it makes no difference if you buy a new house or one that has been lived in many spirits are attached to the place not the building and so you could have easily had something happen again if something was tied to the piece of land upon which your house had been built.

I know about the new house vs old house thing. I just TELL myself that so I don't think about it. There's sevral haunted places/sites around here. There were several Civil War Battles within a few miles. I live in the Chancellorsville section of Spotsylvania County 4 miles from where Stonewall Jackson was shot and killed by one of his own men. I live right near Chancellorsville Battlefield, Wilderness Battlefield, Spotsylvania Battlefield, and Fredericksburg (Battle of Fredericksburg) and then there's Mary Washington's House, Ferry Farm (Geo. Washington's boyhood home), Kenmore, home of Washington's father or something or other and a bunch of other historical sites. There's a story of a women's house that's haunted by a young civil war soldier and her house isn't that old. I'm surprised TAPS hasn't been to Fredericksburg, VA yet.

My sister told me another story...the year before I was born my grandmother either tripped on the chihuaha or had a heatattack and fell down the stairs and half way out the window at the bottom of the stairs. (Grandfather was on the couch and saw it happen). She died instantly at 56. After that Grandfather (same one who "moaned"at me sold the house to live with my mom as he had cancer.

About 2-3 years ago my older sister (who's into TAPS at a local chapter) told me they (as a group) that they went to that house, but my DSis didn't tell them it was our grandmother's house. The woman who lived there said for years she felt a presence in the house. She'd be washing the dishes and felt a hand on her shoulder and would turn around and no one was there. She said it stopped though and my sister asked her when did it stop and it was right after my mom died. My mom took her death really hard.

DH loves the show too but he isn't here right now. Something about Red Wings...Play offs...Friends house...Blah Blah Blah, so I guess he won't be here tonight for the show.

To quote the TAPS team, a residual haunting is just like a tape recorder and they do not know you are there. It is like the emotional essence of the spirit is locked in the time and does not know it is dead but keeps reliving the events. It does not know you are there. An intellegent haunting is one where the spirit makes a choice to communicate with you.

I did not see it yet. I will watch it later so at least tell me was it good. Did the hair stand up on the back of your neck? We should make a scale to rate these shows. Say from one to ten ghosts. One ghost is the least scary and 10 is the most. So on a scale of one to 10 ghosts what would you rate this one?
