We attended Aulani's Grand Opening in Sept 2011. It was a marvelous party and we have many great memories from the event. I hope you have an equally wonderful time at the Grand Opening of GFV!

I am not a GFV owner so it must be for all DVC. We are there next week so perhaps targeted to DVC members with a current reservation for next week?

I am really excited we'll be there for this.

It appears the invite was sent out to DVC members that were staying onsite on the 15th so opening day guests might not even be there then.

And of course it's a sales presentation. I imagine it will be similar to the presentations they had at BLT for a period and not much of a sell at all but guides will be available for any that wish to add on.

It's always a sales presentation. This one has food, drink and prizes and I get to see those gorgeous rooms first hand so it all balances out

WOW! My family and I will be at BLT next week and we didn't get an invite!
Would love to have gone to grand opening.

We arrive at on Oct. 15th, but staying at Vero, then checkin at BWV on Oct. 18th. No emails for us. Though if it's the 15th we can do it as we arrive around 3:00PM.

We snagged a spot a 1 PM. I couldn't believe how fast they filled! This is our first trip as DVC members, so I am excited to celebrate with some festivities.

Now we just have to avoid adding on at VGF...

I got in on the 9am showing. It works well for us as it's our last day and we were having breakfast at Kona and visiting MK before our Tragical Express ride.

I got the email and immediately signed up. It was already mostly full when I did it.

There were three times slots: 9am, 11am and 1pm. I suspect the last of the three events will be over by 3pm.

Got the invite but didn't get the email in time to find any openings. Disney can make it up to me by inviting us to help them test out the resort before it opens
