First, just want to say I appreciate anyone that takes the time to respond.

Heading to Disney in January for a week with 9 people - my wife, 4yo son, 2yo son, myself, my wife's sister, her husband, their 1yo daughter, and my wife's parents. Here is what we are planning so far:

Day 1 - Epcot, Dinner at Garden Grove for 9
Day 2 - HS during the day, back to hotel for a break late afternoon, dinner at 'Ohana for 9 (wishes from the beach)
Day 3 - MK Day. LTT for 9 for an early diner before the electric parade
Day 4 - AK during the day. Downtown Disney late afternoon, dinner at T Rex for my 4yo (Note it will just be 6 of us this night - My wife's sister and husband and their daughter have other plans)
Day 5 - MK again during the day. 1900Park Fare OR Grand Floridian Cafe for Dinner for 9. This is what we are debating.
Day 6 - Epcot. Le Cellier for lunch for 6 (only lunch TS we have). Walk to Boardwalk and Kouzzina for dinner for 6.
Day 7 - HS. Will see Fantasmic at 6:30 and then have 7:00pm reservations as the park closes at Sci-Fi for 6. Also thought about changing this to 50PT Cafe (so appreciate suggestions here too :)

What does everyone think of GFC versus 1900Park Fare, and then Sci Fi versus PT Cafe? We can probably get any ADR we want since its so far away, so any thoughts on something you recommend is also appreciated.
Thanks!

Well I have never eaten at the GFC or 1900 Park Fare. I have eaten at the Sci Fi. You may want to eat at the Prime Time since it will not be dark in there. Sci Fi is very low light. Prime Time is more of a family atmosphere. And they make it fun. I see you didnt add Coral Reef. I hear their food is really good. Le Cellier does book very quickly. I tried to get reservation for September in March and they were booked solid.

I hope this helps. You and your family will have a great time. :yay:

While I love both 1900 Park Fare and Grand Floridian Cafe, for the size of your party, maybe GF Cafe would be better as 1900 park fare can feel a little cramped with everyone getting up and down to go to the buffet. Yes, you will be able to see the characters and that might be the draw because it doesn't look like you are doing any other character meals.

As for 50's Prime Time vs Sci Fi, again for the size of your party, I think 50's would be better and probably more fun as you would all be able to sit together instead of behind one another in a car at Sci Fi.

We are going in January too and can't wait to book our ADR's

Just from my experience go to 50's PT instead of Sci-Fi. Food is much better at 50's and Sci-Fi is way too dark to enjoy with a one or two year old. I went twice, once when my kids where 8 months and 4 years old and then again when they were 15 months and 5 years. I gave it a second chance cause I love the atmosphere but I could not even see my son to feed him. He kept spilling stuff on himself and I had to bring him to the bathroom several times. Forget high chairs it is a nightmare, and with the booster chairs, he kept falling off because of the benches of the cars. You only can sit 2 on each bench and are all facing the front so your party will be separated and unable to have a discussion. I would only go here if you have older children and don't mind being separated. Good luck!

Made some changes due to the comments received above, and finding out Le Cellier in January is now 2 credits for lunch. Here is my revised plan:

Day 1 - Epcot, Dinner at Garden Grill Restaurant for 9 (our only character meal)
Day 2 - HS during the day, back to hotel for a break late afternoon, dinner at 'Ohana for 9 (wishes from the beach)
Day 3 - MK Day. LTT for 9 for an early diner before the electric parade
Day 4 - AK during the day. Downtown Disney late afternoon, dinner at T Rex for my 4yo (Note it will just be 6 of us this night - My wife's sister and husband and their daughter have other plans, then leave on day 6)
Day 5 - MK again during the day. Grand Floridian Cafe for Dinner for 9.
Day 6 - Epcot. Teppen Edo (only lunch TS we have) for 6. Walk to Boardwalk and Kouzzina for dinner for 6.
Day 7 - HS. Will see Fantasmic at 6:30 and then have 7:00pm reservations as the park closes at 50s PT Cafe for 6.

What does everyone think? Anything we are missing that is highly recommended?
