As the title says:) Just looking for opinion's:) Would love to hear any experiences of spending Christmas here RPC Or Sugar Loaf.. I am leaning towards a 13 night stay RPC over Xmas/Newyear just want to hear about the good, the bad& the in between:woohoo:

Thanks:flower1:

We have spent Christmas there. We received a christmas chocolate plate in our room, concierge, but apart form that its no different from staying there the rest of the year.
As the MK was full, it was nice to be able to get back to the hotel without having to go on the buses, but we only use the hotels as a place to sleep, we would rather be in the parks.

Thanks for your reply..Isnt the GF "Decked To The Nines for Xmas"?? Is it Ultra busy during this time?? Do they put on special events in there lobby??

We have stayed here a few times leading up to christmas but never over christmas. The hotel is wonderful at this time of year, I love the gingerbread house and the tree is amazing. They also have carol singers in the lobby. I would opt for RPC rather than sugar loaf:)

This year they had M & M in the lobby taking photos in period costumes, they have cut back on the entertainment from years past.

It is decorated the same every year.

It is busy in that you get a lot of people comming in to see the decorations, but staying there is no different.

For me the ambience alone would be enough to make me stay here over the Christmas Season,What with the Carol singers etc etc:thumbsup2

Thanks again

have only stayed there leading up to Christmas, never over the holiday itself..

GF is my favorite of the disney resorts, so i'm happy to stay there any time of year..

leading up to Christmas, it's especially lovely - the decorations are perfect...the gingerbread house, the tree, etc etc...
if i were at WDW for Christmas, i would definitely want to be at the GF...(or if that wasn't available, WL)..

as for concierge, RPC is it..
we stayed in SL once, and then after that only in RPC...
i would never stay in SL again....
if RPC wasn't available, i'd go with WL concierge rather than SL...

YAY:thumbsup2 As u know i have done WL for Xmas & that was awesome ,So i can only imagine that The GF RPC will top that:) It would defo be RPC,don't think i could do SL...Gonna P'M U:)
:goodvibes

as far as I know the GF did not have the carol singers this year.

I know atmosphere is important and all but thought I'd mention that you don't actually have to be staying at the resort to enjoy the decorations and events.

I've only stayed during the Christmas period a couple of times but one of my favourite things when I did was to spend some time visiting the resorts to see them decked out for the Holidays. It's a lovely way to spend time (especially if you happen to get thirsty and then you can stop at the bar for a drink too ;) )
