Geyser Point Changes

The confusion is that Geyser Point is considered a Table Service credit on the Dining Plan, both for eat in and take out from the window.

Nothing about the operation has changed except the way it's charged on the plan.

That makes a lot of sense.

Recently watched a Disney vlogger who went to Geyser Point. He said that it will be changing to a “table service” spot in May sometime. He didn’t elaborate so I am curious about what this means. Does this mean that you will be able to reserve a table and maybe it will have an expanded menu? Hoping others may have heard something and have some additional info

This guy does absolutely NO research. He's been a daily Disney Vlogger for years and he can't be trusted to get even the most simple and basic information correct.

I'm sure he heard the words "Geyser Point" and "Table Service", and just assumed Geyser Point was now a table service restaurant.

I don't follow Kyle Pallo at all but after seeing this thread I did a google search and I did find an article from Disney Fanatic that mentioned that it was transitioning to a table service restaurant this past September...probably spoke with the same confused cast member as Kyle did...Looking ahead there are no ADRs starting May 17th so definitely doesn't seem to be changing to "table service"...

We were at Geyser Point in January 2025 and it was definitely not a table service restaurant. We sat at the bar, had lovely drinks and food, watched the fireworks from the beach, but it was walk-up, people sat where they liked, etc.

We were at Geyser Point in January 2025 and it was definitely not a table service restaurant. We sat at the bar, had lovely drinks and food, watched the fireworks from the beach, but it was walk-up, people sat where they liked, etc.

I was also there in January 2025 (and more recently) and it definitely was table service. You could walk up and sit at the bar but if you wanted a table you had to go to the host stand. Very curious.

Yeah, it's kind of a hybrid.

They charge a table service credit on the DP, but they don't take ADR's.

Even though it's technically quick service, except for the DP charge, it's nice people aren't hovering around your table waiting for you to finish.

It's basically a bar/lounge, although most other lounges don't advertise takeout. On the dining plan, meals from a lounge are TS. If you want to sit and eat, you'll have a waiter/waitress (or bar tender). Once, more than a year ago, we could sit wherever we liked. More recently we've either joined the wait list via MDE or visited the host stand and were seated.

No, if it were CS then you would only be able to order at the Counter and it would have open seating. If you want a table you check-in with the host or join the walk-up list in MDE when you are within range the building.

It is like many table service locations that also offer Mobile Order of meals to go. They also offer a pool window for orders, and a full bar inside.

No official word about it yet and no signs of ADRs being available after 5/17 which is the date that the vlogger mentioned.

I'm not familiar with that vlogger, though I've heard the name before. Is he someone deemed reliable?

No, not at all. I watch his videos for fun, and he's constantly presenting things as "facts" that are completely wrong. He does zero research, and for someone who visits the parks all the time, he seems to know very little about them.

It sort of gets confusing with explanations.
When you get near the location there is a full drink station like any other CS attached is an outside "window" with a line area that you can order food mobile or direct. The items are very limited they offer you can see this on the MDE app (or what ever it is now) I am not sure if this is a CS credit on the DP or not but I believe it is.
To the side of this is a covered bar with seating at the bar and tables and chairs this the "TS" part where you will be seated and given a menu if you want a table. The menu has far more on it than what is offered from the window or mobile order.

There are tables you can eat the mobile or CS at as well most are in the sun but it is a 3 minute walk to Roaring fork by the main pool where there are covered tables outside as well as inside tables.
The food is very good at both. I will also add Roaring fork has some good options as well including the pulled pork which is not the out of the bag or can at most CS it is from the real TS at WL. If any of this makes sense.............. WL is a small resort by Disney standards unless one is familiar with it is hard to give a clear picture.

Yes, there is a walk up window for ordering outside of GP. It's basically the same menu and same prices as if you went in and sat down at GP to eat, just no tip.

Pallo does no research and can barely form sentences with any semblance of thought. He's also claimed the Grand Floridian Cafe is quick service.

There was a long thread posted about it somewhere here. If you want a bison burger and order it from the window, it will count as a TS credit. Roaring Fork, in the main building, counts as a QS meal.

Just looked at the app seems there is truth the blogger as it does says TS on the app. From the times we went there which was staying at WL (I have reserved for part of my trip this year) the menu was small if I recall correct 3 entrees now there is many more as well as a large amount of Apps.
The prices are higher as well just do not see a huge demand for 25 for the Bison burger, it was never cheap but that is a bit excessive.... Sort of the end of a great CS option when staying at WL but OK for a TS if paying cash. I do not use the DP so no matter to me as we own DVC.
