That's interesting that you could use a QS credit at the walk up window. My experience yesterday (Wednesday) was completely different.Just back. You can use a CS credit at the walk up window, but no mobile ordering for that credit.
My prior experience with the DP credits, too (though it was before covid). GP items, whether ordered at the window or in the seating area, are all TS credits. Hope you are enjoying your stay - I'll be there in about 3 weeks! That's interesting that you could use a QS credit at the walk up window. My experience yesterday (Wednesday) was completely different.
@crazymomof4 , here is what I was told by the CM at the walk up window yesterday:
You can not use a QS credit at all here. The only menu is the same one as the TS menu at Geyser Point Bar and Grill (no separate QS menu here) and if you use a meal credit at the walk up window it will take a TS credit. She specifically said Roaring Fork is the only place at Wilderness Lodge where you can use a QS credit.
I placed an order (pay out of pocket) for the mac and cheese bites and was given a buzzer. It took close to 15 minutes for my order to be ready, and this was in the afternoon around 3, so not a typical meal time, and no one else was ordering at the window while I was there. There were quite a few tables available at the sit down part, so I don't think they were particularly busy.
Hope this makes sense. Feel free to ask me questions!
Thanks! It was a very short trip and I am back home now (flew home last night). I do think CCV is my new favorite place to stay though! My prior experience with the DP credits, too (though it was before covid). I love the WL, it's my favorite. We are doing 6N at the Poly and then 6N at WL. Trying out the Polynesian for the first time. I don't think it will replace the WL as my favorite. Love CCV, BRV, or the regular rooms! Thanks! It was a very short trip and I am back home now (flew home last night). I do think CCV is my new favorite place to stay though!

Thanks. Worked for NancyG56 but not you. Seems like it depends on which CM is working that day. Wouldn't be the first time I had conflicting info given to me by different CMs. I guess we'll try and hope for the best. That's interesting that you could use a QS credit at the walk up window. The problem is, if they don't let you (plural, not you, @crazymomof4) use the credit, they you'll have unused credits on a Plan that's already designed for Disney to come out WAY ahead against most guests. Unless you're one of those "I don't want to have to think about money while on vacation"-types, in which case you probably don't think of money when you're NOT on vacation either.Thanks. Oh no you're very wrong there! Of all the people I know, I'm the most frugal and money conscious. I know what you mean about the DDP. My married son and his wife made their ressies before us and used the DP promo. I was out to prove that it WASN'T the best choice for us. I'm very experienced at using ANY discount available. After I crunched the numbers using all the different ways I could have made our ressies, the DP promo came out best. Probably bc we have 4 adults in the same room. The problem is, if they don't let you (plural, not you, @crazymomof4) use the credit, they you'll have unused credits on a Plan that's already designed for Disney to come out WAY ahead against most guests. Roarin Fork is there and is very good food. The problem is, if they don't let you (plural, not you, @crazymomof4) use the credit, they you'll have unused credits on a Plan that's already designed for Disney to come out WAY ahead against most guests. Did you read the part where I wrote “not you?”Oh no you're very wrong there! Of all the people I know, I'm the most frugal and money conscious. I know what you mean about the DDP. That's our Plan B! Most definitely can use QS credit there! We enjoy the boat ride from MK, getting away from the crowds for a bit and love the theming of WL. So it won't be a loss either way.Roarin Fork is there and is very good food.
Ok. I thought the "you" in the generalized sense, applied only to you first sentence. I just thought it was funny bc I'm such a darn cheapskate! LOL. Believe me, none of our credits ever get left on the table. I'm not *that* WDW guest. If we have some QS left over we will use them oDid you read the part where I wrote “not you?”
Please let us know what your experience ends up being! Thanks. Worked for NancyG56 but not you. Seems like it depends on which CM is working that day. Wouldn't be the first time I had conflicting info given to me by different CMs. I guess we'll try and hope for the best.
I will!! I'll put a reminder right now, on my calendar for when we get home. Please let us know what your experience ends up being!
Hope you enjoyed it and had/have a good vacation! The grilled cheese at Roaring Fork is excellent!Reporting back (because I said I would). Our plans ended up changing. We ended up hopping to Epcot the day we planned GP bc we had leftover Snack Credits and wanted to use them on Festival Booths that we had on our list, but didn't get to do on our first Epcot day.
Had read the previous post by Mle8308 earlier in the vaca and so was planning on just going straight to Roaring Fork bc there were things that looked really good there too!!!
Yes we had a great time! 6 adults in our group, one week and zero drama! Now, that's an exceptional WDW trip!! Lots of great memories!Hope you enjoyed it and had/have a good vacation! The grilled cheese at Roaring Fork is excellent!
Zero drama is impressive! It was a good time, we normally go in August so the weather seemed cooler to us (though definitely hot)! And fortunately the hurricane was a non event at Disney, though I am sorry for others who live in affected areas. Already planning the next trip! You should absolutely try either Roaring Fork or Geyser Point in the future.Yes we had a great time! 6 adults in our group, one week and zero drama! Now, that's an exceptional WDW trip!! We will get to Roaring Fork some day. We watched a review on youtube and several of the dinner offerings really appealed to us + we love the WL vibe!
Hope your vaca was great too. It was a hot week, huh? We've had too many Sept FL trips to count and I don't remember the second half of the month being that hot. Maybe I'm just getting old! Will be looking at Jan/Feb/March trips from now on.
