Getting your drink on in the most magical place on earth

Awesome board!
DH and myself are going this year by ourselves and are excited to try a bunch of new drinks!
Very sad to heard about LaCava.... I may have to try the jalapeno margarita still.
We will be there Sept 30-Oct 5th mostly at Epcot.
Cheers!

Can you get the piña colava any where else? (Besides BWV)
My parents will be coming to disney for their 2nd time ever and my momma loves piña colada so I would love to get one of these for her.

I've done a couple of things... first I sent it in a well cushioned box. Found out afterwards you are not suppose to ship alcohol, haven't don't that again. On one of our cruises my husband found "skins" they are clear packaging that are plastic soft sided containers that fit in nicely with the shampoo and the like bottles. They work really well and I'm not afraid of spillage. That's what I'm doing this next trip. I don't get intox but a drink after the park is very appreciated.

We bought "wine diapers" on Amazon, so we can have drinks in our room. If there is breakage on the plane, the bags absorb up to 750ml of liquid (and our bourbon and vodka fit).

That drink is available as a standard Disney drink on almost any menu. I know for sure it's at Dawa bar in AK. ***Correction: I just read a post saying that when they renovated & moved Dawa, they took this drink off of the menu. Sure enough, it's not on the official Disney menu online. I guess I didn't take notice when I was there last in February. Sorry for the misinformation.***

You can do a google search for any of the places you're wondering about & they list the drinks available on the menus. But most bar tenders are pretty accommodating if you ask, as long as it's a full bar & they have the ingredients. :)

Admittedly I have not gone thru the entire thread....

But...Italian Margaritas outside Italy at the kiosk is to absolutely die for. Love it.

Also...another poster mentioned no fun drinking in the room ... huh? We make batches of margaritas and pour them into our paper "coffee" cups and then onward to the pool. One year we shared with a family from South Africa, drank, and exchanged marvelous stories in the pool. Good lord who knew hippopotamus ate small children????

I definitely agree about the Italian Margarita!! It's become a must for me in WS now. I hadn't realized at first they had them at the stand so I got my 1st one inside at Tutto Gusto to go. I prefer the frozen version over the rocks one. :thumbsup2

I usually bring a 6 pack w/me b/c I drive up from S FL & plastic Solo cups for hanging out at the pool or exploring the resort.

I love hippos but now I fear I will never look at them the same now.

eeww.

My specialty drinks I want to try (throughout 9 days/nights, not all in one day :rotfl:):

Sugar Cane Mojito - Animal Kingdom Dawa Bar

I had the Sugar Cane Mojito when we ate lunch at Tusker House. It was so good I had a second. :woohoo:

:worship:

I also heard in another thread there is a Grey Goose slushie stand in Epcot.

GG slushie + Illuminations = WIN! :cool1:
I'll take a Grand Marnier Slushie...or two. They taste like a Dreamsicle with a little kick. ;)

I've really tried to like margaritas, but I prefer tequila neat...no additives.

I've heard of those too. I guess they work well? Does the entire bottle fit in the diaper :rotfl2: that question just made me laugh.

THESE ARE DELISH!!!

I've seen these slushies plenty of times in WS & have read how popular they are. But I never can justify getting something that costs more $$ for a smaller amount as opposed to other drinks that are available. I do like dreamsicles, though..:)

That's funny. When I was younger, I preferred almost all liquor on the rocks or as a shot. But I guess as I got older, I like the added sweetness. Go figure. :rotfl: I just wish they wouldn't have made the African margarita premade, it really ruins the taste for me.

Margaritas are one of my favorite things to get in the parks. But at home, I tend to stick with beer or wine. Keeping it simple..

Never heard of these but will be purchasing today. Great idea!! Thank you:cheer2:

My favorite places are in Epcot... Tequila bar in Mexico, wine bar in Italy, and the Rose & Crown pub in England. I absolutely love the blood orange margarita and snakebites.
And during food & wine, the cosmo slush at france. :)

I also love going bar hopping around the monorail resorts, or really, bar hopping around the resorts in general!

Studios, I love going to the Tune-In Lounge or the bar by Backlot.

At HS, my go-to spot is Anaheim for the Golden Margarita. Have you been to High Octane Refreshments which seems to be near or maybe attached to Studio Catering? The menu looks pretty good but I've never took notice of it or tried it in the park. :)

I'm also wondering if anyone has tried any of the frozen drinks from Upcountry Beverages in AK? It's a stand between Africa & Asia.

Great Thread. However, someone noted "heavy pour"....hmmmmm. I've yet to see a heavy pour. Care to share where that was?:scratchin

Had a very heavy poor in the margarita bar inside the Mexican pavilion.
