Getting to Resort Restaurants -Wispering Canyon & Boma

I didn't really do any adr's for resort restaurants this year except Chef Mickeys. We actually didn't end up doing Chef Mickeys since DD3 turned out to be terrified of characters but we did end up getting into the Wave. I didn't do the resort restaurants because I was nervous about how hard they would be to get to. Since we are hoping to go back next year (we bounceback for free dining and are hoping we can still afford it next year) I would like to try new places. I am not sure what is going to happen about her character fear so I may schedule one character meal. Anyway two, non -character places I was interested in that were Whispering Canyon and Boma. We are going to stay at CBR. What days would you schedule those for? I am thinking Boma for an Animal Kingdom day, just go after the park closes. However I don't know about the other one. Maybe after a water park? It seems like so many bus transfers to get to another lodge I am not sure if it is worth it to eat there?

I would do it on a MK day. I think your 3 year old would love the boat ride over.

We are going to do Whispering Canyon on our AK day. We will take the bus from AK to Whispering Canyon and the boat back to MK for a little while and then take our bus back to CSR. We'll see how it works.

WCC on a MK day makes the most sense. You can catch the bus or boat, and be at WL in a matter of mins. Waterpark buses can be iffy and take a while.

Every year we plan a meal at WC on our MK day. We especially like to go at lunch. The boat ride makes for a nice break in the middle of the day. Also, if you want the break to be a little longer, Wilderness Lodge has a nice sand area with a playground. Just relax on the lounge chairs till you are ready to head back to MK.
