Getting to Polynesian from the MK parking lot

Hello. I am an AP holder but want to go to Trader Sam's at the Poly. Staying off property. I know I can park at the MK lot, but how would I get to the Poly? We were in the MK parking lot the other day, and it is all turned around with construction. I couldn't figure out how to walk to the Poly. Someone said the pathway is right by the cast member lot?

Or, do you think if I showed my AP at the guard at the Poly they would let me park? My AP would prove that I didn't want to "cheat' trying to avoid the cost of parking at the MK.

Your AP actually won't prove that at all (I'm such a cynic, if think you actually were going to the park, but think I'm stupid.) Telling the CM in the entrance shack that you are at that resort to visit Trader Sam's would be much more effective. Not to mention, true .

Or, park in the MK lot, board the Resorts monorail, exit at the Polynesian.

Thanks. Was trying to avoid the monorail as I know once when I stayed at the Poly I was actually able to walk to the Ticket Counter at the TTC....but I the whole construction thing has made everything confusing.....

You walk from the TTC. Depending on crowd levels and time of year you could just park at The Poly.

You can walk from the TTC-- it's not clearly marked with the construction going on (we were just there earlier this month, stayed at the Poly and walked to & from the TTC on our Epcot day). All I can tell you is to just walk towards where the Poly is to the left. At one point, when walking through the pathway by the green scrim, we had to choose to go left towards the parking lot area or right, and we went right. You will cross a street and will end up on the path that takes you to the Poly.

There are so many security people/cast members around that I have no doubt you could ask someone there which way the path to the Poly is.

Another way is to take the ferry to the MK, then take the shuttle boat to the Poly...but its probably better to walk from the TTC.

Yeah - at the TTC, BEFORE security and the ticket booths just make a left. If I recall there's a smallish sign denoting it but if you keep right you'll bump into the walkway towards the Poly easily enough.

When I went to the Polynesian last September I walked through the cast member lot (left hand corner facing TTC) and there is a metal footbridge that goes over the drainage canal to a pedestrian crossing light. If you are walking from TTC and the construction walls are still in place, just follow them along towards the Polynesian.

If you have an AP, you don't pay to park at the MK Parking lot. Just park there, take the tram over to the TTC and then follow the path over the Polynesian. There is signage directing guests to the Polynesian,

Thanks all. We decided on a different plan. Please understand that the nature of my question was because the parking at MK is all messed up due to construction. I would advise against parking at MK until they have finished construction.

I would take my chances of parking at Poly. And just tell them at gate you’re going to Trader Sams. Unless you’re going at a super busy time during the holidays it should be ok. Plan B park at DHS and take Poly bus. That avoids the TTC mess all together.

Maybe for going to Poly but if you are driving to MK, it's sort of the only choice, no?
