We will be using Disney transportation for our trip in January. What would be the best way to get from OKW to Hoop-Dee-Doo, would it be to go to DTD and change buses or go to the MK and change buses or take the boat from the MK. Also does the buses take you right to Hoop-Dee-Doo or do we have to change buses again once we arrive at Ft. Wilderness. Than once the show is over is the best way to return to OKW is to go through DTD again.

How much time should we give for this adventure so we're not late for our reservation time.

Thanks,
-Jean

I would take the bus from OKW to DTD then to FT Wilderness. The bus drops you off right by the entrance to Hoop Dee Doo. When we where there last there where buses there for all the resorts when the show was over so you did not have to make any transfers. Give yourself at least an hour or more to get there on time.

Thanks. That's kind of what I thought would be the best way to get to Hoop Dee Doo from OKW. With this said we'll go early and spend the afternoon at DTD shopping.

I've only been once, but in the future, I'll be taking the boat.

We drove to Fort Wilderness in our own car. There was no parking. They didn't even want to let us in, but my mother was on an electric mobility scooter so they did. There was parking, although not loads of spaces, but we actually found a space fairly close to the bus depot.

Then we had to take wait to catch a bus to get back to Hoop Dee Doo from within Fort Wilderness. It took a lot more time than what I would have thought, especially with us driving our own car. The bus driver told me that it's much easier to just take the boat.

We should have arrived about 1/2 hour prior to the show, but instead we got there right as everyone was entering. Perfect timing actually, but made me very stressed.

Just my $.02.

There is parking but the lot is just beyond where it sounds like you turned in. The entrance for guests staying in the campgrounds has a guardbooth and seperate parking. The other lot is just East of that one and has lots of parking. But you do still have to take a bus from that point of course. Still faster than taking a bus to MK and then the boat though IMO.

we take the MK bus and then transfer to the boat to FW. it is just a very short walk from the dock to pioneer hall. same route returning. enjoy!!!

I agree with this one :thumbsup2

I think I'd bus to MK and take the boat, too. But I don't take the bus, so there might be a better idea!

Gotta agree that the MK bus is quicker and it's a more scenic ride on the boat.

If we decide to do DTD before heading to Ft Wilderness would you still take the bus to MK and take the boat or take the bus to Ft Wilderness?

Still trying to figure out our day ending with Hoop Dee Doo in the evening.

Thanks,
-Jean
