Getting to HDDR

I've read prior posts about getting to HDDR at FW and it sounds like to best plan is to take the ferry from MK to FW.

My question is...what do you do about parking if you are not actually going to MK? We are staying off-site and will be driving a rental car.

We will be doing HDDR at 5:00 on our non-park/water park day, so we won't have already paid for parking earlier in the day. Will the MK parking lot gate attendant let us through if we show our confirmation number and explain that we are just going to eat, or will we have to pay for parking at the TTC?

I'm not trying to do anything immoral, just want to be prepared. I'd rather take the ferry than take the internal bus system at FW, but would love to know if there is any legal/moral way to get around paying for parking in this situation.

TIA

In your case, you should simply park your car at the Ft Wilderness Outpost guest parking lot. Then take the bus from there to the "Settlement", where Pioneer Hall and HDD is located.

ETA - You can get there by taking Bonnet Creek Pkwy (OKW, POFQ/POR) and taking a left at the end of the road onto Vista Blvd. FW will be on your right about 1/2 mile.

If you come in the Main Gate, keep to the far right and tell the parking lot CM that you are going to HDD. They'll wave you through and you'll make the next right onto Vista Blvd. FW will be on your left about 3/4 mile.

You will not have to pay for parking in either direction.
