I'm thinking maybe I had better make my reservation at POR for September now instead of waiting for the codes. Can anyone tell me how I go about getting a discount applied after I have all ready made the reservation at the regular rate?

I don't know about doing it before the codes actually come out, but I managed to get a dicount code applied to my reservation that was already in existence when I had made my reservation. I had to call cro several times, before I finaly got the discount though. You have up to five days before your trip, to cancel your reservation anyways, so if you had to, you could always cancel your reservation, and then make a new reservation using the code.

hi, i just did this 2 weekes ago...i had made a reservations for CS months ago just to make sure i would get a room and then 2 weeks ago after the FL resident codes came out just called back gave them my reservation # and told them i found a better rate with a code and they changed it and sent me a new confirmation in the mail...i think this works best because a lot of times when you wait for the codes when they do finally come out theres no more rooms available--this way your guarenteed a room you just have to wait patiently for the discount..kmc

I booked this winter through Dreams Unlimited and they got the discount for me when it came out! I actually watched my room rate go down twice, once for the Winter Getaway rates and again when AP rates came out.

I also did this recently. I had booked 4 nights at the Yacht Club (using DC discount) the end of December for August, Resort Magic package. Then about 10 days ago the Fall Fantasy package (8/25-10/2) came out. I called right away to see if it would be cheaper. They upgraded our package from garden view to water view and the price came down $288. She said she would just keep the same reservation and make the changes to it. I just received the confirmation in the mail of the changes. We are now paying $212 a night for water view the end of August at the Yacht Club. I was thrilled!!
