Getting the best Epcot fireworks view room at the Dolphin - what should I request?

We're staying at the Dolphin (for the first time :cool1:) and will have an Epcot fireworks view. What kind of room requests should I make to get the best view? We probably won't ever see the fireworks from our room -- I just want to have the best view of Epcot, especially of Spaceship Earth. And, should I request a balcony? I was going to ask at check-in if they had any available, but the view is more important than the balcony.

For the best view you should ask for one of the upper floors.

Thanks. Are the Epcot views similar from all the fireworks rooms, or are some rooms better than others? I want to make sure we don't just have a partial view, or a room that has only a glimpse of Epcot. I'm definitely going to ask for a high floor.

There are lots of rooms that have some view of fireworks. Be aware though, that you'll still only see the high ones, even from the "best" room. Because of the location, placement and shape of the Dolphin, your best off discussing your desired view at the front desk when you check it. A friendly attitude with the staff there will get you some pretty good cooperation in sorting through the rooms that are available when you check in.
