Getting the AAA rate

If AAA releases their rates for next year sometime this summer does that mean that nobody has a AAA discounted room reservation for 2008? If I call and reserve my AAA room on the very day AAA releases their rates won't I be sure to get a discounted room? Trip is May 2008.

Sounds logical - but I don't know how it works. You could make your ressies now, tho, and apply the code when it comes out. I use the AAA code every year, and have never been told that they are out of coded rooms.

I just made ressies a few weeks ago, and the first CM I talked to told me the AAA codes for 2007 weren't out yet - !!!!!! - so I thanked him, waited a few minutes, called back, got another CM who applied the code!

Just keep asking!

I have only been told once that I could not use AAA. That was for the stay back in 2003 when we were opening day guests at POP. It was value season, so it didn't hurt too much to pay rack rates being that we were thrilled to be there first!

We usually book our stays at least 3 months in advance.....usually more. Maggie

My thinking is book your ressie. The boards will surely let you know when AAA has released their prices. Then check back with your AAA TA. I'm sure they will apply the discount. If not, cancel and rebook. Just MHO.
