Getting sick on tamer Mission Space?

I really want to ride this, but have always been too chicken. Now that they offer the tame version has anyone heard of riders still having problems getting dizzy, etc. Husband loves the thrill rides, TOT is his favorite, but he can't even take the spinning rides like tea cups, etc. I have been telling we need to ride the tame version and think I have him talked into it, but just wondering if anyone has gotten ill from the tame side. I don't want to waste a day recovering from one ride. TIA

The "green team" (tame) version of Mission: Space doesn't spin at all, so if you can handle Star Tours, you probably can handle M:S Green. :thumbsup2

I roder the tamer - green version and agree that
if you can do star tours, etc. you should be fine!!!

DH gets motion sickness from Star Tours (and of course the teacups) but I felt a bit disoriented for a few minutes afterwards and he felt a bit sick. This was the green tame version too! I was suprised as I had ridden the other version when it was the only choice. I enjoyed the green version too, thought it was fun like Star Tours but better since I hadn't ridden it and seen/heard the story as many times. You should be fine though, its fun :thumbsup2

We really enjoyed the tame side. While I am not prone to motion sickness I did feel sick after the last time we rode MS before the change but not at all after the change. We will stick with the green team from now on.

Thanks for this thread! I was wondering the same thing for our November trip. I was too chicken last December to try after my Mom and Brother rode MS. I think I might get up the nerve to try it. I have no problem with Star Tours, or even Dinosaur. To be honest the ride that made me the sickest motion wise was Primevil Whirl! Should I be embarrassed??

Don't worry, my dad thought he was going to have a heart attack on that ride. You're not alone! :thumbsup2

I am the biggest chicken and get terrible vertigo from most rides. I rode Mission Space "green" last week, and it is very tame. I would definitely do it again. :thumbsup2

Ok, thinking I may give it a shot. I am the biggest baby in the world when it comes to rides. I don't like the drop on Pirates but I do ride star tours and did body wars with no problem. So, you all feel if I can do those sim rides this would be alright on the green side? I would never do the other because of my chicken heart and high blood pressure!

I want to try....Star Tours makes me sick....I get motion sick...no spinning or twirling rides either.
I think it is Bonine time and we'll see how that goes.

You sound just like me! :goodvibes I think you'll be just fine. In my opinion, the "less intense" version of Mission Space is milder than Star Tours or Body Wars.

I can't do any spinning rides. Expedition Everest did me in. Star Tours gave me a headache, but I did the tamer version of Mission Space 2 times and was fine! The cool air blowing on your face the whole time really helps!

we just went to wdw with a large group of around 50 - 2 of them got sick on green. They both said they get sick on StarTours
