The official countdown to our wedding and subsequent honeymoon at Disneyland on Gay Days is at... umm... seventeen days!

I've been haunting the boards, and we've been watching various Disney DVDs, and reminiscing about our last trip. Oh, and all the wedding prep and so on.

I was wondering, though... what does everyone here do to prepare themselves when you get close to your Disney vacations? What sort of rituals do you do to get yourselves all hyped for that first walk through the gates?

Step on the plane. No, it is when I step in the cab to go to the airport; When the reservation for da plane and Candy Cane Inn are made. No it is the DisBoards and all the other disney stuff I check out daily. Nah I am stoked all the time for a Disney trip!

Congratulations on your nuptials!!! I will have just got back from DL when Gay Days starts. You have to tell all about your special day!

Now to the second point...you know it's funny but when I think about it... the only common thread preceding any fun (read: non-business) trip is that I always buy new socks, underwear, and a tooth-brush. I kinda wish it was something more memorable -- but it is just what I do I hope other folks have more interesting stuff to relate...

I don't think I have any real rituals (or rather, had when I lived far enough away to have to fly to WDW) but packing must have something to do with it eh?

Whenever I have a real holiday planned, I always start planning what I'm going to pack. I make lists and sometimes lists upon lists and check off each item that is on it. And, if I pack something that wasn't on the list, I add it just so I can check it off!

You'd think I'd have enough sense to keep a master list, but I don't. My excuse is that I travel to such diverse places that one list won't do.

If I am traveling to a place I don't know much about, I love buying an information guide. Frommer's or Gay Guide To... something along those lines.

I always wait until my girlfriend packs her bags (usually 2 and one for shoes! Talk about butch ha ha) and then unpack about half of what she put in.

Once we get there....and this is bad...we always stop at the pool side bar at the Hard Rock Hotel for a Hard Rock Lemonade..... (yes we spend a few days at Universal 1st and then go to Disney)
