Getting kicked out while typing replies

I have this on Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

Still happening to me off and on both at work and at home. It varies. Like at home right now it is not happening.

I am convinced it is some of the ads doing this.

Happening to me again. The site on my phone is unusable. The site constantly reloads kicking me out. I believe it’s due to video ads. When the video starts over it boots me

Happens to me daily. Today it's a very aggressive ad from McAfee. So many tries to type a post. We'll see if this attempt is successful.

This is getting so tiring.
There are days I have no problems.
Then there are days like today. I type a few words and the cursor disappears, focus has gone somewhere else, and I have to click back into the box to finish my reply. In this reply alone, it happened more than 15 times. 16. times. each time I update this number it happens again.

I am quite certain it is linked to certain ads. Not all. I have a bottom screen ad that seems to have little content and no changes. But the right side ad rotates every few seconds and it seems likely that some of the ads that comes into that window steal the focus.

On days like this I have to stop using Disboards. There, right with the ad rotation, 3 times in a row.

Please change that ad rotation engine, or, slow down the ad rotation, or give us a paid option to be here without ads.

Yep, I’ve been saying the same, I’d be happy to pay $2/mo (or $20/yr) for an ad free skin!!

I understand your frustration. Someone posted earlier to use Firefox with ad blocker. I did it and it works!

I use Opera, but I’m sure they work the same.
The only thing is once in a while I have to physically close the tab and reopen it.

I won't use ad blockers. First, I belive in the site having the ability to fund itself from ads. Second, there are some sites that detect ad blockers and won't work if you have one running.

I will also add I am having major issues with the site. I am not sure posting here will do any good, it doesn’t seem like it gets any response from the team. But typing responses is delayed, you start typing and it takes 10 seconds for it to show up. The pages crash ALL the time, when you scroll to read posts it doesn’t load the whole page and takes forever to load to actually read all the posts. This is very very frustrating. Happens on iOS and iPadOS on Safari and Chrome. Basically the site has been unusable for a few weeks now.

Having this same issue on computer. Which is new for me normally I only have tech issues on my phone never computer.
