Getting kicked out while typing replies

This has been going on for months.

I didn't notice it until just after New Years. Surprised no response of any kind from the Webmasters.

This message board has become more of a pain to use than a joy. No wonder there are so few new threads and not as many people participating as there were a few years ago. I just typed a long message and I was not able to hit post reply yet and the freakin' thing kicked me to some ad and lost my post. There are other places to talk about Disney...guess I better find one until this is fixed!!

One thing i learned is you can refresh the page and the post should come back, but I hear ya, I've lost a few keyboards & mouse from being pissed.

It will look weird, but try switching the template at the bottom to "Original" and let me know if that fixes it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will try as it’s still happening frequently.

But- how do I switch to ‘original’ @WebmasterCorey? Can’t find that option.

I didn’t but your question caused me to look closer and I saw the word ‘wide’ at the bottom with a paint brush. I clicked that and chose ‘original’. Hoping this fixes it.

It may not fix it, but I believe the “wide” version is their test version to isolate possible problems.

@WebmasterCorey, Unfortunately it didn’t change anything. I changed to original, closed window, completely shutdown and restarted phone and it happened within the first couple of threads I opened.

I've had an issue that I can type so many words and then unless I touch the screen (my laptop is a touchscreen), I can't continue. With this prior sentence I had to tap four times. Or hit refresh. Tapping screen is faster.

But I don't know if it's my laptop or Disboards. I don't do a lot of typing on laptop aside from Dis.

Ok. That helps me to get closer to diagnosing the issue.

I’m getting the “kicked out while typing replies” screen while I casually scroll the site. It’s been happening for at least a week on my iPhone. Happens sporadically but I feel like I’m walking on eggshells while I scroll.

I'm not entirely certain that I'm having the same issue, but I'm randomly getting pop ups and it's to a scam site. This could be an issue with my phone and not the disboards, but it only seems to happen when I'm on the boards.

If it doesn't happen anywhere else, its probably the boards... or possibly a glitch with XenForo in general, but that's seems like a slim chance.

I haven’t had that issue since I switched browsers (Opera GX), but I’m not sure if it’s the actual browser or just that the new browser blocks ads.

Every few minutes while scrolling, I get a “problem occured” link message. This has been going on for awhile now while using my iPhone.

omg. can you please freaking remove the stupid ads that collapse the keyboard as you type. this is so unbelievably annoying.

you know what, never mind...i think i can turn on my VPN and it will block the ads so you get no revenue but at least i can type.
