getting into resorts at 7 months?

Got studio at VWL at the 7 month for first week in May with no problem.

For "Allflgirl" no you have made the right decision. You are looking to use your points during the slower periods at WDW and at the DVC resorts, even though May is getting more popular. Your ability to book the other resorts at 7 months during your selected times should not be a problem. Buying at SSR will be cheaper than buying in at BCV or VWL and since you are going off season, why pay for the 11 month benefit when you really will not need it.

Whew, I was so excited about joining DVC and then became a little worried about the 11/7 month windows after reading some of the posts lately. I won't be worried any longer. I can't wait until I own a piece of the "magic".

Since I couldn't wait for my contract to go through in late June, I just booked through a rental yesterday, a 1 night studio at VWL for June 11th. I take many short 1 & 2 nighters to Orlando and was so surprised to get in VWL in June with just 2 weeks notice. I figured this may not be the norm, but there's hope for me yet, as long as I am flexible, which I am!
