First off, wow! What a great resource!! I have been reading thread after thread on here and have "tweaked" my trip at least a dozen times because of all the great info you guys post.
My question: We are staying at the Pop Century (Thanks to that FAQ thread and Tyler) and have PS at 'Ohana for 6:30 one night....How do I get there and back on Disney transportation? I have two kids that may prove testy if I take them all over the place...

you could either go to MK and then monorail over. and then the same way back; or to DTD poly bus and then back the same way; or take a taxi from Pop to the Poly and any of the above back or taxi. we usually just go to a park and take the bus. good luck:tongue:

The MK bus is probably the best way to get there. Take it to the MK. Once you get there, you can take the monorail to the Polynesian. Ohana is on the 2nd floor, same as the monorail stop. Be sure to take the resort monorail. Even if the MK closes early that night, the bus will be bringing folks back to the POP and I imagine you could hop on for the return trip.

Coming home has lots of options. You can take the MK bus again if it is still running. Another choice is to catch the monorail to The TTC (ticket and transportation center). Then take the monorail to Epcot and the bus from there to POP. Also, there is a bus going to DownTown Disney from the Polynesian and you could transfer to a bus to POP there.

There are always cabs, too!:D

FYI: You get a transporatation guide when you check in that will help with this.::yes::

I 've found that taking a bus from your resort to one of the parks and connecting from there is significantly faster. Or if going to one of the monorail resorts taking the bus to MK works well also.

Thanks for the help, ya'll. I had this fear of getting stuck at the Polynesian and having no way back to the PC.

We did just that last month. We were staying at the PC and had a 6:50 PS at Ohana. The busses were still running from the MK when we finished. We rode the monorail back to the MK from the Poly and then caught the bus back to the PC.

Even if you stay at the Poly late, and MK is closed, you can hop a bus to DTD and get a PC bus there. :)

I have found Always...use a park as your connector to any other resort. The monorail or bus whichever is available... but always remember that when you want to go from resort to another resort use a park as your transition hub. The monorail is fast. The busses are next fastest and boats are slowest generally. The only thing now to check out is which resort has what transportation . For instance if I wanted to go from ASMU to WL I would take the bus to MK as WL is an MK resort. I would then take the boat to WL. While the boats are slow this would be a good choice for numerous reasons. The boat is relaxing and allows you to see the lake with all it's beauty.

Taking a bus to a park for a connector is a good idea. But, you may find that by the time you leave the Poly, the only park open will be Epcot. To get to Epcot from the Poly you'd have to walk over to the TTC and get the Epcot monorail, or hop the resort monorail over to the TTC. If the MK is open, that would be the best bet to and from your resort.::MickeyMo

The DTD buses run until at least 2 am, so you can always connect to the resorts through there.
