Getting from MGM to the resort for 1900 Park Fare dinner - drive, bus or taxi

We will be staying off-property and part of our plan is a day at MGM and a dinner at 1900 Park Fare with PS for 5pm.

We would love to fit the 4pm parade into this schedule but can't figure out how to quickly get to the Grand Floridian hotel afterwards. Will taking a taxi from the park help? We can always take the bus back to the park after dinner.

We'll have a car and can drive to MGM in the morning or take our hotel's bus. If we end up taking a taxi from the park to GF and returning by the resort bus, would it bring us back to the parking lot?
