Getting from Disney to Tampa for Cruise??

We are going down in February for 3 nights at Disney then are going down to Tampa to get on a cruise for 4 nights but was wondering what would be the best way to get from Disney to Tampa. There are 4 of us and I think it is about a 1 1/2 hour drive. We don't need a car while in disney so were planning on just renting a car to drive down but wondered about dropping it off. Would it be easier to get a taxi or car service and about how much would that cost if even available. Thanks for any tips.

we are going on 06, i plan on going down the night before, then using a service for trans to the port, then back to airport to pick up rental then back to resort,

mom22girls, it looks like you'll need to call a few rental companies about the tpa-port locations. The only one that I could find was hertz, and they have a location right at the port and have a shuttle to the ship. Hertz at Disney is located at the mariott village (not too far from downtown disney) and will pick you up at disney. Tampa is a little more difficult to get around in than port canaveral, but no big deal.
