So reading all the threads about the FP+ difficulties, I am wondering if i am going to be able to do what I wanted to do when I go next month. I will be in MK on 3/23 and what I really want to see is the new Fantasyland expansion. I dont mind waiting in lines, will be a single rider but it's kinda depressing thinking I might be in one for 2 hours.

Then I want to see the new TSM in HS on Monday. If I go there first thing, should I be ok to get on the ride rather quickly? I have a few other things i want to see but I really do not want to stress over it. I am going to have a little fun before a convention in Orlando starts.

Going to Epcot on Tues 3/25 and will try for Soaring but guess I wont even try for other stuff. Mostly want to see the topiaries here.

It really makes me wonder if the magic of Disney is seeping away. :(

I don't think the wait times are any different. Arrive early in the day or close the place down and you'll be fine from the sounds of it.

Everything I have read the last few days seem to report if you are there at opening you can still get on several rides with minimal wait.

Your MK day on the 23rd, and you Epcot day on the 25th, will be kinda rough, they are both the not recommended park on those days and both 9 crowd level days.

I am sure you will have a good time, but set your expectations realistically, you aren't going to ride all the rides all day. If you do rope drop, and hit the rides you want right away, you will be fine. But if you wait until later in the day, lines are going to be quite long and you can only FP one headliner, except in MK.

The Magic is Alive don't worry ! You don't say where you are staying but if off site I understand it will be a little more difficult to get FP+ times you want. For HS you can do rope drop and easily get on Toy Story in the morning. Epcot again first thing in the morning you can get on Soarin and a few other attractions and then enjoy the topiaries and a good lunch/dinner somewhere. MK at rope drop gets you lots of Magic. And if you can do FP+ in advance schedule some rides/attractions for the afternoon that is one of the plusses of FP+ getting on rides later that would not have had the old fp available then during larger crowds. Most of all enjoy what you see and do and don't stress about what you can't see or do. That advice goes back long before the old fp was first introduced. It's a big wonderful place ! Have fun !

I wanted to go solo to Epcot one day next month, but Im feeling the same way. Off site, peak season, no fp-. ACK!
Not sure if I get there early and go straight to Soarin/TT, there will be any FP+'s left? I am not willing to stand in line first thing for fp+'s and miss out on short lines for my two favorite rides.

After those, the only thing I am there for is the flower and garden festival. Its been a long winter here and I need to look at flowers and gardens. lol

Funny how the new WDW commercials are saying "come be our guest and try fastpass plus during our "test". I thought it had already been tested. lol

There were FP+ available for us during President's week. We got one for Test Track after riding Soarin on President's day and one for Soarin that Thursday (after riding Soarin first). We were at the park at 8:15 for RD.
Also, if you're solo anyway, ride Soarin, then FP Soarin and go ride Test Track four times in a row on the single rider line....

My recommendation, if you are a single rider going to EPCOT, is to go in the park and go straight to the single rider line at TT. I did this last Saturday and it worked GREAT. The single rider line was only 10 min wait. I then went to get my FP+. I was able to chose Mission Space (with a return time 5 minutes later) and Soarin' only about 2 hours later. This gave me time to walk around world showcase and grab food at Spice Road. I didn't even bother to select another FP+. To me, if you are a single rider, it makes sense to do TT in the single rider line and get the FP+ for Soarin'. I think you will have a great time :thumbsup2

If you're not staying onsite I don't recommend going to epcot on Tuesday since there is emh. The sb line for soarin was already 30 minutes before 9 am yesterday.

If you can do eng then it's easy to do both soarin and tt. Sb times for all other rides were significantly increased early in the day except for mission space. There were huge lines for spaceship earth yesterday and the fp line was past the roped off queue area by 11 am

YEA - I just saw that commercial for the first time. Was not inspired. :( I am staying offsite because I am going to a convention later in the week I am there. But i will not let this drag me down!!!

Hmm - that was the only day i could get ADR at Coral Reef. I will just take my chances I guess. May have to just wait longer. :(

Thanks for this! I forgot all about single rider on test track.

I wasn't going to Disney until they ironed out all the new stuff, but I can't imagine being 15 minutes from the parks and not going at least one day. It also helps I have several days left on my old hopper. lol

The simplest way to ensure you get to do everything you want with minimal waiting is to arrive 30-45 minutes before the posted park open time. FP+ can be used to your advantage as well.

I am a bit freaked out myself. Just booked an Aug. trip and I am hoping after 25 trips.....this new system does not turn us off. Kind of hoping they tweak the new system and add more FP's per day. I guess NONE Of us will know until we bite the bullet and GO. :thumbsup2

Get there 30-45 mins before opening. Go straight to the ride you want to do first. Don't waste time getting in a FP+ kiosk line.

Once you have finished your must do ride (or more than one if lines are short enough), then find a FP+ kiosk and get in line to schedule your FP+ times.

Yes, lines will be very long.

You know we went to Disney for years and years without fast pass!!!

You know, crowds were like half what they are now ... ???

Disney has always been crowded and remember waiting an hour plus in the mid 90's for most of the major rides that are an hour plus wait now. Sometimes nostalgia clouds our view of the past.
