Getting breakfast in your PJs?

Well, now my curiousity is piqued and I'm going to pay much better attention to what everyone is wearing at Movies' Food Court next month. ;)

Maybe it is an age thing. :confused3 Although I said go for it and I'm 36 which I thought was getting a bit on the old side. Honestly, I've never worn pajamas to the food court because we head straight to the buses after but I just never thought of it as a big deal.

It's funny what gets people though. To me the most offensive fashion statement you will see at WDW are Crocs, but we'll be bringing ours anyway.:rotfl2:

:lmao: Hey this is my favorite answer!!!!! A troll, maybe but only if it is the red headed one!!!

Internet Troll:
someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

From another site: Forum Troll delights in sowing ******* on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war.

If this is what the OP is truly claiming to be, then I would ask him/her to stop.

I originally posted that wearing PJs outside of your home/hotel room is tacky and I stand by that. I personally don't understand why people wear PJs or anything else for that matter when sleeping anyway (adults). I wear clothes during the day, but not to sleep - so I dress appropriately when leaving my room. I won't be packing PJs to wear to any food court :rotfl:

I was just on vacation and a women came to the breakfast area in her robe and slippers. Everyone was looking at her. I thought she should have put some clothes on. I would for sure not be going to the food court in my pj's. My older girls would think I was nuts.

That is what the OP is, a troll. She is just trying to incite people to argue so she can get her pathetic rocks off. She's laughing her head off over all of the stink she's once again stirred up. Don't worry though, she'll be back again in a few weeks with more garbage. Asking her to stop just makes it even more funny to her. Just ignore her.

I am so amazed at the amount of people who find it offensive when strangers wear a simple pair of lounge pant pajamas and a t-shirt while they are in their hotels in the morning :confused3 What is the problem? It's not like they aren't appropriately covered.

I'll tell ya, I'd much rather see people in the food courts wearing their pajamas than some of the other inappropriate garb that I saw walking around on our last trip-and these were items that people considered everyday clothing-women with their chests hanging out of their clothes, larger women wearing clothes waaay too tight, men wearing speedos or shirts with offensive pictures or sayings, people who are wearing their day clothes but obviously didn't put on any deodorant:scared: & you guys are complaining about lounge pants & a t-shirt???

Maybe it's a regional thing-here in Boston, I see people food shopping or running to the coffee shop all the time in their PJ's-who cares? How could this possibly be disrespecting you?:confused3 Sounds like these people should concentrate more on their own lives & be a little less uptight.....or maybe take a second look in the mirror to make sure their clothes arent offending anyone.

and again-how does this directly affect you?:confused3

Well, I'll add my two cents. . . .

First of all, when I'm on vacation, I don't wear PJ's. I'm too concerned about what would happen in the middle of the night if there was a fire or some other event that caused an evacuation. I live here, and I don't need all my co-workers seeing me on the evening news in my PJ's. I have some nice t-shirts and knit shorts that are regular outer wear clothing that are comfortable enough to sleep in, and that is what I wear instead of PJ's. So clothing wise, I would be perfectly presentable going to a food court. I also fall into the category of a shower before bed, as it helps me sleep better, so I would be clean going to the food court. I would, however, comb my hair, wash my face, and brush my teeth if I intended to go to the food court in my un-PJ sleepwear.

However, having been to Disney many times, I typically have some sort of quick breakfast food in the room and dine while getting ready to go out, so I've never thought about going out to get food in my un-PJ's. I find that works better for me, as I typically don't eat a big breakfast anyway and I like to eat my largest meal for lunch. So other people going to the food court in their actual PJ's wouldn't be a problem for me either, as I most likely wouldn't see them anyway.

:thumbsup2 Exactly!

I will say this thread has totally inspired me to buy some new pajamas just so I can wear them our around the resort. LOL

...

So what makes pj's okay, but speedos not? Or shirts with things that you think are offensive? Why is that offensive, but not a person wearing night clothes to the lounge/food court?

I think we need to have respect for the other guests at the resort. There's just too much "me, me, me" in the world now.

Umm...because there is nothing physically revealing about cotton lounge pants and a t-shirt?

Dude I did it late at night when I wanted a midnight snack lol..Well I had on a tank and shorts that I lounge in...but seriously I have worn my lounge clothes around the resort to go to the food court to fill a resort mug up and grab some snacks..if you want to do it in the morning go for it!!

I've seen it done lots of times real early in the morning. People wear their pjs all time anymore. Their pjs were a tank and shorts and they had thrown flip flops on. To be honest they were better dressed than some of the people going to the parks that day!!! ;) As long as you're decent and you've got shoes on i don't see the big deal.

Yeah that is what I do..I have a cotton tank, always wear a bra and cotton shorts that I bought at Express..and I throw some flip flops on,at night when i head down to the food court I throw on a hoodie with my shorts. I think it look's cute and comfy.

6:30 am - not like there is gonna be an abundance of people there.

Who cares what others think - Are you ever going to see those people again?

Whats that saying - He without sin cast the first stone!

Its your vacation and if YOU are comfortable running to get Breakfast then so be it.

I have a PJ set that is Red / Black mickeys with a Black top that looks like a T-shirt and I wear it in the BC Concierge lounge all the time. And people ask where I got it.

There are bigger battles while on vacation - let the fashion police pick on someone else.

HAHA that is awesome lol.

I'm pretty sure I have been to the Pop food court late at night for an ice cream sundae or cheesecake in PJ pants and a t-shirt...but I definitely had a bra on :rotfl2:

I'm surprised at the responses...whats the big deal, you are on vacation!

I know what is the big deal lol

OK, I have a pair of Tinkerbell PJs. They are capri pants and a tank top. ON my last stay at POP, I walked down to the laundry room in my Tinkerbell PJs (with undergarments on) to put our clothes in the washing machines and then I walked back down to put them into the dryer. I say if they look like clothes...go for it and I would recommend wearing a bra as another poster said. There are LOTS of clothes today that people wear for reasons other than the ones they were intended for.

I have a pair like that too :)

So those shorts with CHEER or TINK across the butt are out, too, right? Why not the t-shirt with something YOU think is offensive? What about tank tops? They might be too revealing.

Sorry, I think I lost the direction of your argument as I'm not sure what your point is  . Sounds like you are arguing now just for the sake of arguing....please let me know if you are adding something new to the mix of this debate, otherwise if you need to reach me, I'll be at the local Dunkin' Donuts in my pajamas & Minnie Mouse slippers :rotfl:

Seriously though, if people are so offended and so tuned in by something as uneventful as wearing pajamas in a food court, they really need to re-evaluate how much fun they are actually having on their vacations.

Perla I agree! I am too in to having a good time with my family when we go away to notice what people are wearing to breakfast.
Oh and for the record I do occassionally wear my PJ's to grab a cup of coffee when we are staying at a hotel. :rotfl:

What a funny thread. It amazes me how judgmental & worked up people get about the most irrelevant things:sad2:
