Getting BOG is ridiculous

My 180+10 started today. First thing I did was try booking BOG for dinner during our 6 day trip and I can't get a reservation for any of my days for dinner. I have never seen it this bad before. Has anyone been able to book a dinner reservation at BOG during the week of 9/24 through 9/29?

Our 180 opening today and I was able to get BOG dinner for our last night Oct 1, first time I tried. So they may be opening up more right now just wanted to give heads ip

We got BOG for May (dinner) a few hours into our 180 window. Wasn't even trying for it. Just scanned dinner availability for our arrival day and there it was. So we snagged it and now plan to hit MK for the evening whereas before we planned to skip MK.

Keep lookng several times a day. Also keep an eye on the ADR cancellation thread. I just booked a mid April trip and got a BOG breakfast for our first day. Still looking for a CRT though. . .

I really think so. I imagine it is all the free dining hopefuls booking up what would probably be available. We had tons of availability for family of 5 for dinner,breakfast or lunch five months out, but it was for summer.

The problem is the opening hours for MK restaurants - Disney has set them at only 4pm-6pm every day in September (I assume because they are still determining park hours). It's not that later bookings are taken, it's just that everyone interested in BoG dinner has been compressed into a two hour window.

The frustrating part is that one day they will probably just open up later reservations for everyone - making it a free for all and putting people who don't happen to be near their computer at a disadvantage.

For us the only saving grace is that we were able to score a few 5:45 reservations for our dates; we'd much rather dine later (after 8) but at least we have a seat as insurance in case we aren't able to get the later reservations.

I tried each day of our trip, beginning 180+9 days out to reserve dinner for 4 ...zip, nada, nothing. It was already completely booked.

Yes they are. Lunch at CRT is $75 for adults and $45 for children (after July price increase).

Dinner is not that bad, and in line with most of their other nicer restaurants. The steak is almost 20 dollars cheaper than at Le Ceiller, which even though it is a different cut, is a lot. And I really enjoyed my steak at Be Our Guest.

We booked our resort after the 180 day mark...but only by a few weeks and I still can't get a BOG reservation for lunch. I feel like CRT was so much easier to get on our last trip. I've checked several times a week since November and now I've ramped it up to several times a day...still nothing! I'm sure that there will be cancellations the day before, but I'd rather not be searching for it in the middle of our trip.

Has anyone not been able to get one for their trip??

Try checking the cancellation thread on here for the month you are going. If you haven't been on it before, go under the dining forum, and go to the Reservations category, and you will see that there is one for each month. People will post if they are going to cancel an ADR, and you can PM them to see if you can coordinate when they are canceling, so you can try to pick it up. You can't ask for what you want, but you can keep checking to see what comes up for your dates. I have been able to pick up ADRs on several trips this way, and have been able to post my cancellations, and help someone else. I also agree with PPs to keep trying, and you will find something. I had to move our trip for last Nov. to the week before Christmas at the end of Sept., losing all my 180 day work. I managed to get everything we wanted, even the hard to come by Minnie's Holiday Dinner(and BOG lunch!)

They definitely won't let you in 45 minutes early but you should be able to get in a few minutes early to be able to walk to BOG.

Not sure when everyone is looking but September 14th has some later dinners. I was able to grab one yesterday that had been there for over 24 hours and I just found another one half an hour later. Granted I'm only looking for two though. Also been able to modified my lunch ADR to an earlier time slot.

Actually just looked the whole week I'm going and the only days I can't find anything for dinner are the two party days, the party on the Sunday I found one though. I just looked September 12th-18th.

They must have as my ADR is for 8:05 I think, but definitely later than 6. Did find a 4:15 on the Sunday which is a party day. Just seemed weird to me as I haven't been able to find a BOG on our last few trips and to see one just sitting there for over a day was unbelievable.

They have. There's a separate BOG in Sept thread which had this info earlier, and we were able to get 6:15 seats, but the pickings are slim now.

Good to know! We can make our ADRs for half of our trip a week from now and the other half about 10 days from now. Because we are doing a split stay I can't necessarily count on looking at the end of our trip where there would be more likelihood of availability...we are staying 4 nights at one resort then 4 nights at a different one!
