Getting BOG is ridiculous

We usually find lots of reservations opened the day before or even day of, squatters freeing up slots. Even on a really busy couple days a number of slots opened up for BOG. Be patient and flexible :)

Totally agree! There is not a single day in September showing more than 4-6 pm!!

I don't know if you are still having a problem getting a later ADR in September, but when I made my reservations the latest i could get was 5:20 for September 17th and last night I was able to get one for 7:30. They have opened some for later in September now!

Try checking the cancellation thread on here for the month you are going. If you haven't been on it before, go under the dining forum, and go to the Reservations category, and you will see that there is one for each month. People will post if they are going to cancel an ADR, and you can PM them to see if you can coordinate when they are canceling, so you can try to pick it up. You can't ask for what you want, but you can keep checking to see what comes up for your dates. I have been able to pick up ADRs on several trips this way, and have been able to post my cancellations, and help someone else. I also agree with PPs to keep trying, and you will find something. I had to move our trip for last Nov. to the week before Christmas at the end of Sept., losing all my 180 day work. I managed to get everything we wanted, even the hard to come by Minnie's Holiday Dinner(and BOG lunch!)

Edit - just realized I had only read page 1 when I posted, so sorry if this advice has already been given! Also see, you are already there, so hope you got it!

I'm back and I got one!!! I used the Touring Plans too and the link it sent me was for a different time but it worked! (My mom couldn't get one through MDE app at the same time.)
The atmosphere really is amazing in that place, so I'm ok with all of the trouble.
However, it was only 1/3 full at lunch and people asking for openings were turned away. Weird.

That is weird, wonder if there were peolple who blew it off, but didn't cancel, so they thought they couldn't take walk-ins? Go figure! Glad you got to experience it !

Lunch is easy. Lots of times available. Dinner is the issue. And they are two very different experiences. Not at all interested in lunch
It must be the time of year. Because we have a June trip planned and I could have gotten dinner any night of our trip. I have one dinner and one breakfast.

I just hit 180 days on Sunday for my early November trip. There was only one dinner reservation available for the entire week, which I grabbed, but definitely earlier than I wanted (4pm).

I'm trying to get one for breakfast or lunch for 10/2-10/7 and nothing. I've seen several dinners open but we have the quick service plan and I've seen nothing for any of those dates. We're a party of 6 but I've been trying for a party of 3. I'm hoping something opens up sometime.

use the Touring Plans ADR finder. I had to switch my September trip to October about a week ago. I have managed to find a BOG dinner (granted it's for a party night) and two different lunches. I booked a 10:30 first (thinking that if we didn't do preorder it would put us around 11 being seated) and then a 11:15 popped up yesterday so I changed to that one.

Thank you. I'm a subscriber and I didn't even know they had such a thing. I'll go look for it now.

We were just in WDW from 4/29 to 5/10 and had a PPO breakfast and a dinner. Both reservations were made well after 180 days so definitely keep checking back every so often. We didn't need to use Touring Plans but checking regularly also seemed to work.

Ive been trying to get ANYTHING for BOG for our trip - for MONTHS now! Its just insane. Really hating this ADR thing for a quick service place. Ugh

Definitely keep looking! We had lunch at BOG on our last trip, and decided to try their breakfast. We booked a breakfast ADR for a Saturday morning I think only a day or two before, and they had plenty of space it looked like. So you never know!

I booked a late August trip the morning free dining went up...had ZERO problem getting ADRs, including BOG. Literally everything was available....now, in 2014, could not get BOG at all at 180 days and up to trip, but was able to get lunch when it was a fastpass.

i remember last year tables started popping up a month before we left, it was almost as though the restuarant released more tables.

Honestly, its over rated. Lunch is better than dinner, but the only reason I dine there is:

1) my peanut allergic daughter can eat their desserts, when you have a kid with food allergies, this is big because usually she doesn't get many choices.
2) we are maybe going for dinner this year bc my youngest loves the beast

That's been pretty normal just about every time we've been at BoG for dinner or lunch. It's about kitchen capacity really not table capacity. The kitchen staff can only handle so many tables.

It hasn't been uncommon for us to go to Disney restaurants and see them turn away guests without ADRs while the place is only half full. It has to do with staffing.

That said, am I the only one who finds it annoying that there is a site stalking Disney ADRs to give them to registered site users? I'm happy for those of you who got ADRs that way, but I'd prefer that the playing field was level for everyone. It takes a few minutes a day to check for open ADRs. Why do any third parties need to be involved?
