Getting BOG is ridiculous

use the Touring Plans ADR finder. I had to switch my September trip to October about a week ago. I have managed to find a BOG dinner (granted it's for a party night) and two different lunches. I booked a 10:30 first (thinking that if we didn't do preorder it would put us around 11 being seated) and then a 11:15 popped up yesterday so I changed to that one.

Are you going to that party? We have a reservation for a party night, and it was very clear that you need a ticket even though our reservation starts before the party.

That said, am I the only one who finds it annoying that there is a site stalking Disney ADRs to give them to registered site users? I'm happy for those of you who got ADRs that way, but I'd prefer that the playing field was level for everyone. It takes a few minutes a day to check for open ADRs. Why do any third parties need to be involved?

I'm a user of the tool, so my opinion will be bias.

I can understand the argument that for the average mums and dads out there, or anyone that don't know about this to be at a disadvantage, but to be honest, am I glad that I got the reservations I wanted because of this tool, I have to say yes.

There's an argument that can be made that there's no such thing as a level playing field, for example, I got my sister to help me making ADRs, whilst some people may not have the extra person, and I have access to a computer and can check for reservations x times a day at work, while others couldn't.

For me, I'm ok with this service, as long as they're not making money on it, and they're not "holding" the reservations and denying someone else from making the booking.

I'm probably not, we went last year, but the dinner reservation is for 4:40pm, 2 hours and 20 minutes before the party begins. But you are correct, people last year were notified that their reservations would be canceled if they did not have party tickets for ADRs after the start of the party. In the past, you could have an ADR that would end after the party began, but if you did not have valid media you were escorted out quickly after you finished dining

Just hit 180 days today and logged into MDE at 6:00am. My fiance thought I was nuts planning dining out 180 days +10 in advance (he is not a disney fan yet ;)). Well lo and behold no BOG reservations for the five days we are at the parks. Definitely a little disappointing, but we are going during a week that has MVMCP a few times so I am sure that is affecting everything. Will keep checking and open that something opens up.

I had the same experience. I was really surprised I couldn't find anything for 180+5 days, especially because two of those nights will have MVMCP! What the heck?

So I have been constantly on MDE and finally got a BOG lunch ressie. It is not for the day I want, but I am hoping to be able to move it as we go along. So there is definitely hope.

I got our 6 person lunch yesterday as well and TP works great. It wasn't necessarily the date I wanted but that's ok. We have park hopper so it'll work. Now I'm trying to find breakfast there. I'll let them notify me again.

TP doesn't hold anything. They notify you via text and/or email that a ressie is open. You still have to book it and it's not always available when I call, calling seems to yield better results then MDE but takes longer. I tried the app and it says it's not available. I called and there it was. This happened with another reservation as well.

I'm sure someone has already mentioned this, but while you are there and if you have your party together go to the check in at the start of lunch and they is normally a good chance of getting in. Also checking just before midnight the day before, when everyone are cancelling their reservation for the next day is a good time to secure one.

Is it possible that Disney is holding back the most popular reservations like BOG, O'hana, etc.? I have always been able to understand CRT issues due to low capacity, but BOG is pretty big, and to not be able to get a time at all at 180+5 seems fishy to me. I am starting to suspect they are only releasing a small percentage of those spots at 180+10 right now.

No one knows for sure.

But I'd noticed something for Ohana, I was searching constantly to try to get a 8pm reservation, for a few weeks, the only time available was 10pm dinner, then one day, a reservation popped up for 10:05pm (the 10pm timeslot was gone), then that timeslot was available for a few weeks, then a few days ago, the 10:05pm timeslot disappeared to be replace with a 10:10pm timeslot. Not sure if some restaurants have capacity to allocate more time slots or not

I was not able to get BOG on my ADR day. However, I have been checking periodically and finally landed a dinner reservation yesterday. So it is possible. Just keep checking.

I don't see anything wrong with using the free tool to get a notification that the time/date at the restaurant you want is available. It's a free service and anyone can use it. They don't book anything, so you would still have to be quick enough to log into MDE or call to snag it.

I've been stalking a 7/2 ADR (dinner) since our 180 day, and was able to get it last night --- they also had dinner times for July 4th-8th ---

I am canceling a BOG dinner res for Friday 10/21/16 at 7:10 for 3 ppl at 10:30am CST today. Grab it!

Thank you for the person who suggested the touring plans reservation - I got lucky and managed to book BOG lunch for 27th September for 3 people instead of breakfast - I will be cancelling a 9.55am breakfast for that date in a minute so try and grab it!

We've had luck at least 5 times booking the day before when I guess people cancel. Even pre park opening times have been there so if you want to wait in my experience you have a good shot of booking the day before

I agree with this!

I know it's so hard, but seriously... you can almost always get it the night before! Keep checking, of course, but don't give up hope!

I had a terrible time last October. Luckily I was able to finally snag a dinner res. during MNSSHP. But before deciding to do that i checked the website every day-multiple times a day. I can only imagine what it is going to be like when I try to book it for my Christmas trip..

I got what I wanted! Lunch at 12:15 on a day we planned to be at MK in October. Persistence pays off! :)
