I am reading other threads and seeing that others are getting their ADRs early, which began a conversation with my hubby and he had a great question that I had no answer to.....no flames, please, as I am NOT considering this NOR am I suggesting that anyone is doing this (yes, I will be a good girl and wait until my 180 days!) but my hubby brought up a point that I had not thought about before: Is there anything besides of integrity that keeps people from being able to "fudge" on their arrival date in order to be able to make their ADRs? Meaning that does Disney have some sort of checks and balances so that when the CM asks about your check-in date, do they know if you are checking in on the date you are telling them?
We are making our ADRs for our December trip next week, but I had to call today to ask about how to handle a trip that has 2 legs to it. When I asked for clarification about the 180+10 thing, it was obvious that the CM herself was not clear on it, and it just would make me sad to miss out on something during the Xmas week because the CMs aren't clear on WHEN to book. When voicing my frustration to hubby, he brought up the question above and I seriously couldn't think of HOW Disney would know if what you said was true. Could someone SAY they were checking in earlier than they were to get ADRs, and Disney wouldn't know? They ask for your resort reservation number OR your phone number, so I wondered if they ever had access to our check-in info? Again, not in my plans to do so, but I wonder if this is occuring?
