This is the same thing that happened to the company DH just left after 11-1/2 years. His job was a dream job, the kind that you plan on retiring from, until...
they were taken over by Pfizer (Warner Lambert co-produced a drug with them that they wanted all to themselves) the same way it may happen to Disney. They had to keep them for a minimum of 2 years and then sold his company because it didn't fit with the pharmacutical business.
Needless to say the company that bought them had to borrow half of the purchase price to pay for them and this was "approved" by the government. They then stopped most of the production at the plant, by the way they are their "world headquarters" and started doing more production in China. Also, layoffs, layoffs, layoffs.
OT was stopped and instead of having DH work on Saturdays to do work he couldn't stop production for (he always went in on Saturdays, always something to do) they paid THREE times what they would have for his overtime pay to have an outside contractor come in.
I too have Comcast, but they bought out my old cable company AT & T. It's only been about a year but my cable bill went up another $7 the beginning of the year and I'm waiting for them to start taking away channels that they do not offer to the other areas they had the cable business for for years and years. My MIL has had them for a long time and has alot less channels than me and pays more $$$. It is very scary to think of what this company can do to Disney. I really hope this does not happen.
