Get Excited: Downtown Disney Has Now Reopened Superthread!

Some people were tweeting and posting earlier in the week that they weren't even allowed to bring in bottles of water. ... If you do stop by DTD, please update here if you get any information.
I was there for a short time yesterday morning and a security CM at the third checkpoint told me that guests are allowed to bring in water. I also had a small snack that I took from my pocket for the scan and he didn’t say anything about it. Certainly the water fountains were working.

I just noticed that DTD will be closed on Christmas day. I believe that’s a recent change (I seem to recall that it was scheduled to be open when I last checked a few days ago), likely in response to the reduced crowds.

I believe that’s a recent change. They are also closing at 8pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Rightly so. I was there yesterday morning and it was a little depressing. Very few people. I suspect the CM-to-guest ratio was about 1:1.

[EDITED TO ADD] I found out (the hard way) yesterday that the portable toilets in the parking lot are not open on weekdays.

Thank you for checking on this and reporting back! As I suspected, the new rules probably had everyone confused when they first came out and things have calmed down in the meantime.

So moved up the schedule and went today. Fun but depressing tidbit. My wife overheard from a CM that they were all set to open mainstreet before the spike. Would have been awesome to visit.
When we were there last week (Saturday, 12/5 in the morning before the shutdown announcement), a CM at Elias and Co. told us that they had begun stocking Main Street stores.
