That's not a bad idea, actually! Have you been to Dr. Teitelbaum's website? I wonder if they have message boards. I am sure there are large support groups around. I have been so much better since incorporating his recommendations (and I didn't do them all). Those 'hit by a truck days' are very far and few between now.
Lisa--did you go to a doctor to do the protocol or did you read the book and do his recommendations? I have an appointment for his center in Philly but I'm so worried its going to run lots of money--I'd like to think I'm worth it but don't have thousands of dollars.
Nat - sorry you don't feel comfortable talking to your husband about your CFS. You can always come talk to us. I've never had it, but I am great with sympathy and prayers. I had a friend go for a repeat mammogram last week and today she had to have a needle aspiration done. Luckily they were able to extract fluid (normally a cancer won't give off fluid), so our prayers this week were heard.

Hi everyone!! I'm going to catch up on the posts from today that I haven't gotten to.
Just had to share my awesome supper with you all. I took the eggplant parm. and did my own kind of thing with it. I cubed up the eggplant, and some onion, put in the tomatoes, some garlic, and italian seasoning. Cooked it for about 1/2 hour until all the liquid was absorbed. Then added some parm. cheese. After in my bowl added a bit of mozzy cheese. OMG!! Sooo good, and a cinch to make.
Sautee'd my onions, peppers, and diced ham for my western omlet tomorrow morning already too.
Ok, back to what you were all doing LOL
PS: Tyson had a blast. We made a play date because this is a doberman he can play with. A dog his own size. They had so much fun running, boxing, slobbering, they played for about 2 hours straight. Tyson didn't want to stop, as neither did Sage LOL. There aren't really many dogs here that are his size that he can really play and run with. We don't even really have a dog park. Someone made one, but it's a joke. And extremely expensiveBut they loved playing in the field.
thanks Bev--I think its because he NEVER gets sick or feels bad. so I don't know if he'd understand. More my problem I guess--thanks for prayers--for me to stop ASSUMING what others will think. Hope your meeting went quick for you!
I read the book and made a lot of notes and did it myself the best I could. I truly felt different in 3 days. The center would be the greatest. You could just go for the free workup and see what you can glean??
P.S. I copied the chapters on thyroid and took them to my bio-identical hormone doctor. He agreed with it all and put me on the protocol. In my case, it's very important to treat to the symptoms and not the numbers, as Dr. Teitelbaum explains.
What I do is put it in the pot, pour in some water (crock pots don't require a lot of water). Add seasonings just as you would if you were making it in the oven, stove top. I cook mine all day and it gets really tender. I usually use couple turners under it to lift it out of the pot.Can you die from too many taco salads?? We just had our first one with black beans added as the carb. I'm stuffed! We've also had them with 15 blue corn tortilla chips around the edge. It's easy, that's for sure!
Pony and anyone else: How do you do your turkey breats in the crock pot? Do you add any liquid? Seasonings? Lemon? Garlic? We've got one in the freezer.![]()
yeah, the consultation is free so I'll check it out.
Kathy--your eggplant parm sounds wonderful!! I'm definitely going to make it that way next time!! Love that your ready for breakfast tonight--what an inspiration to me!!
Hi Again...one more hour to go then off to the gym!
Lisa - I guess that did taste a little like chicken divan now that you mention it!! I just used the spinach since I eat broccoli alot and am trying to get more dark greens in me!
Kathy - I got the TSO info from an e-mail I got from their Fan Site!! You can pre-order it on Amazon for like $20 for the two disc set!! So Excited!! BTW...when is your birthday?
You could turn it around, Natalie, and realize that someone could be helped by your willingness to share. Everyone knows someone who feels like you do and they might need to meet someone as caring as you are.![]()
It was actually Nell, Lisa, and Pony that "made" me do it LOL. All that talk earlier about being prepared. I'm not organized in that aspect. But the clothes in my drawers are seperated and divided into sections. Now if I could be that organized in life LOL
I'm really glad you are going! From my armchair, it sounds like you are a bit timid about making yourself a priority and about stating your truth and your needs. I know that's scary, but I bet your husband is more on your side than you know and you will feel so much better when you decide to be open with him about how you feel. As long as he knows you want to improve and that he and your son are tops in your life, he will be there for you, I just know it.![]()
Yum! We are going to make that chicken for sure. Tom couldn't wait to hear all about it! I'm teaching him to cook again. Tomorrow night I have a late client meeting so he's in charge of dinner. That usually means he calls me and asks what restaurant I want to meet him at, lol!
Have a good workout. I painted around my garage doors today for my extra activity.
I even have my shoes in boxes with the pictures of what pair they are taped to the front.![]()
OOOOHHH, Kathy, that's getting pretty close if you've got organized drawers. Anyone that wants a great book on organizing " Organizing from the Inside Out" by Julie Morganstern. She teaches you why you aren't organized and what you would gain by becoming organized and then how to do it. She's big on zones. I love her! I even have my shoes in boxes with the pictures of what pair they are taped to the front.![]()
