Geriatric MM Warriors!

Ugh! My husband let some guy at the health food store sell him a bargain fish oil and it doesn't have the lemon in it - I can taste the difference, yuck!

Does anyone with fibro have aching lymph nodes under your arm from time to time? The first time I got this it scared me to death. Then I read it's one of the fibro symptoms. It's back for me, which tells me I'm doing something wrong. Wondering if just the D-ribose will make the difference?

Are you back on the D-ribose? I've never been diagnosed with fibro but I used to get very painful like knots toward the lower back part of my underarm. The Dr once guessed it was a nerve center that was inflamed..hmmmm

I'm thinking I missed something about pumpkin :confused3

Mornin' Laura. I've gone back to step1 for 10 days because I was over doing it with KW's pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup and acorn squash. We received info from Diane (through Robin) that we need to be very careful with these despite the technically valid carb counts since they are supposed to be a step3 food :sad2: I still plan to have these later, just not at the volume I'd been doing.

Laura: That pumpkin mousse sounds wonderful. I can't believe how smooth silken tofu makes blended things. I'm going to try it if I can find the Walden Farms.

I bought the walden farms pancake syrup on their website along with the SF ketchup and some jelly. The shipping was pretty reasonable. I figured saved me gas money running around looking for the items. :cheer2:

I have been using a website on and off for a few years and it really does help in relieving stress through the holidays. I am not sure why I stopped doing this but I am going to start again. :surfweb: I have to post again before I can type a link so go to www dot flylady dot net

Flylady helps me a lot too when I actually use it. My problem is getting myself organized enough to use flylady. Which is actually kind of funny because she teaches how to get organized.

OK we don't want anyone looking like a pumpkin for Halloween :rotfl:

Her website is the best, she has control journals for the kids, summer idea with the kids, holiday control journal, she even has one for moving and I gave it to a friend of mine to use and she said it was the best move she ever did. I want to incorporate it into my life again, I hope it will help me be organized like Pony Girl. She even has a store to purchase items and she has a calander that I buy every year and I use it to schedule my appointments and classes so the entire family knows what, where when and why.

Pony Girl!! You are my organized menu planner Hero!!!:worship::worship::worship:

Kate I hope you have a few moments during your day to rest! :thumbsup2 I did read that they suspect there might be an autoimmune connection with several of these endocrine illnesses. I know my Dad has a rare autoimmune muscle disease. He can barely walk and it can only get worse. His is one that is actually recognized by doctors, it's called Polymyositis. I wonder whether getting the immune system messed up might run in familes. I have hashimoto's disease, also the immune system attacking the thyroid but causing hypothyroid instead of hyper.

Hmmmmmm. Very interesting...... My older daughter (I haven't told her yet but she is also Met B) has autoimmune hepatitis (the reason for her liver transplant).

Lisa - I didn't see the Newsweek aritcle on Graves Disease. I am going to seach for it right now! Thank you for the info.

Kate: I do not know much about Graves disease, but I’ll be looking into it. Did you see the huge spread Newsweek did on it just within I’d say 6 weeks? I believe they have their pieces online. Let’s try to find it.:3dglasses

Lisa- I couldn't find it. Let me if you do.

l I bought a can of Campbells Fiesta Cheese soup, had 8g carb for the whole can, so I threw it in the crockpot with 4 boneless chicken breasts all day sunday, then the chicken was so tender I shredded it up and stirred in a big bunch of spinach...made like 8 servings, so I am still going to count as a 5x5, but I figured it was a good way to mask the spinach taste! LOL

Which Campbells Fiesta Cheese soup did you find? The only one I can find is the Campbells Fiesta Nacho Cheese. It has 22.5 gr net carbs for the whole can. If it's the same one, you should still be ok if using as a 5x5. I wanted to try this over the weekend and use broccoli instead of spinach.

Hello from Work!

Bev - have fun with the 5th grade explorers!

Lisa - I checked the label...no milk and I didnt add anything, just threw it in straight from the can! It came out fine too, not too thick.

Nell and Laura - what is this flylady thing and what do we do with it?

Barb - I will check and see if I still have the can...definitely didnt have 22g though...but sounds like yours would work too, I used 4 whole boneless chicken breasts and got 8 servings...so that would still be ok as a 5x5, right? I agree about Debbi, probably better left over there

TSO ROCKS!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

That would be amazing! How are we on the fat content of this soup? I'm trying to stay under 5 - 8 grams on the cheesy things. I'm glad there's no milk in it - thanks Pony!

That sounds like it! Very interesting. I meant to pick up the D-ribose yesterday and had too much to do. It's coming soon to my life again!

Kathy, I hope Tyson has a nice play date! We'll talk with you later!

Lisa, I'm sorry about the way your fish oil tastes.

Pony that is a funny dream. It sounds like part of you finds what Ken does to be completely unbelievable. A car dealership would be a lot more tame.

Hi Laura! How are you doing?

I would like to see stwill also.

Does your Dad use aspartame? I found a website by a neurologist with a lot of information about how it causes MS like symptoms. People have been in wheelchairs and cured when they give it up. Even if it isn't the direct cause, it would be very prudent to stay away from it.

My Mom and Dad had the mag and they are looking for it for us.

I get swollen lymph nodes for no apparent reason all the time, under my armpits, sometimes my neck etc. I thought that happened to everyone, doesn't it? I'm always aching, lol. I am thinking about trying the ribose, I just need to do some more searching to see how it interacts hormonally. I don't want to spend the money and not be able to use it.

Lisa, I'm really sorry your feeling poorly. I hope that you get your supplement and improve quickly!

There are 8 grams fat per serving so that's only 20 gr for the whole can. :thumbsup2 I'm thinking adding some green and red peppers and mushrooms to punch up the veggies and volume of the serving.

I don't see green chilies on the arrow chart for step1. Have we ever decided these are ok? That would be good added to this too.
