Lisa, I managed to get a couple of pics of Millie and the cake on LCF. I tried here, but no luck!

Pam!! hi! Yay you made it!! I for one am staying right here...limited to those regulars who got to be close friends and dont mind chatting about stuff that doesnt pertain to the plan!! Of course when and if Diane does the forum on the other site, I would check in there and see whats going on...

Anyone notice that we have more posts here in the past two days then the old thread has in the past week? Its like there is nobody there...kind of sad, but at least we are all together here!! I dont have time to play with the smilies here at work, but I have so much fun seeing you guys playing! Its like we are a bunch of little kids in a sandbox!! And Im not sure about the dancing bananas!!

Kathy - you GO GIRL on that pumpkin roll...where did you get the Davinci syrups? Do I have to order them online and are they expensive? I would love to add some new tastes to my menu..

Lisa - I think I would stay put if I were you, until Diane responds with her opinion. I am just going to stay here on step 1 FOREVER...I have decided that I am just going to be a "flunky"!! But I LIKE it here!!!

I bought the Davinci syrup at Walmart, but it was a Super Walmart. I don't know if the small ones would have it. It was in the section where they keep all the ice cream toppings.

They are sweetened with splenda. I don't think you care for splenda, do you? I stick mostly to non chemical sweeteners, but I do use splenda on occassion as the lesser of the evils.

What's the detox like? Maybe you should do it for 5 days - that's your lucky number, just kidding. Sounds like you could use that pampering time at the nail salon. Have a great day!

You are right, but I'll do the full week! The detox is very intense. There is no "solid" food allowed. I juice for my lunch and puree for my dinner and in between I'm allowed tea, water, high-density berry drinks and high density vege drinks. I did it for 21 days my last time and felt really good until the last couple days where my body was craving protein I lost the most in my first week so I figure if I lose my ten that I gained, I can jump right back on my MM and "whip" my metabolism back into shape. We'll see. It seems like the only WOE that has really worked for me. I really love MM and know that this is the way for me, but for some reason I think if I do my detox, it will kick me up a notch. Does that make sense? I like the pirate dude!

At first I was amazed when you said the size of the house, but then I remembered how many children you have! I'm trying to move toward the smallest house possible every time we move so that we have to get rid of more stuff. I have a clutter issue that is terrifically under control these days!

Hi Nell. The size of the house is definitely because there are so many of us and we need the space. There are only 4 bedrooms upstairs but the basement is like it's own apartment for the two teenagers. They love it down there! I HATE cleaning it! It takes forever and most of my weekend is either cleaning or laundry. I can never catch up. Wish I had a maid, but I'd end up going behind her cleaning...been there...done that too!

I'm a clean freak and hate clutter too. It makes me hyperventilate...

Nell: Thanks for the tip. I have urinary frequency, but not lack of control. We are all like this to some degree in our family, but I think I am the worst. I have a permanent excuse from jury duty because of how often I have to go to the bathroom

I'm with you on this one. After 4 kids...it's awful...no sneezing for me if I have to pee!!!

Okay so let's talk about how old my kids are getting! They turn 22, 23, 26, and 29!! this year. Where does the time go!?!? Lisa how old is your son? My DD26 is being auctioned off to the highest bidder very soon. lol Actually I'm so very proud of her for staying single for as long as she has. She is a master hair stylist and store manager for Regis Salons. She just got promoted to district manager covering mid Indiana to northern Kentucky. I hate that she has to travel but she's all about it. Lisa, I'll be sure to get a picture of the cake and get it posted. She's still working on it and she's very frustrated over how it's going. lol We shall see.

So when the new forum is set up with Diane, will you all continue here as well?

I'll be back to sit and get caught up you all and set up my profile ...I'm I a perv or is there something really wrong with this banana? lmao!

Hi Pam. Do not think you did anything wrong over at LCF. I never thought it was about step1 or step2 threads anyway. It was about some people objecting to us sharing anything other than diet and food info. It's such a relief to be here where there is no hidden animosity. About the banana, yeah, it's a little questionable but I like him

Barb - it's crazy to me. If they didn't like our "chatting" don't read. Read what you want and post questions. I truly believe we all have made an awesome connection and for me I love having all of you as friends, not just people who have the same eating habits.

Good evening friends,

I've been busy all day changing over to fall/winter in my closets. It's amazing how many clothes I've past right up and have to get rid of. One of my girlfriends is going to be very happy. Stuff with the tags still on! I still can't get my "small" good pants around my waist but I'm thinking they'll be good before winter's over. I'll finish step2, one month tomorrow. Can't say for sure how it's going. Today I had a feel fat day. Could just be sodium because I ate some canned soup last night. First time I've had processed soup in a long time and it really tasted weird.

Lisa, I don't know what to tell you about your minimal weight loss. Maybe you did need extra time on step1. Did you say you've had recent blood work that was ok? Too bad you have to wait for Diane to get back, it will be interesting to see what she says. The low end of my loss is about 6 lbs a month. I'll weigh Monday and see where I am. If I'm at 5-6 lbs I'll be very happy.
I made KWs pumpkin pie today. It is soooo good. I'm going to go over there and tell her thanks.

Of course,we believed if someone comes in and doesn't like what we do, they should just go away and not come back. Well, the next thing you know, Georgia Lee decides she is going to split the threads no matter what anyone thinks. PLUS, admin at LCF was sending rude PMs to a few of us because of whatever. Admin also changed things so people had to log on to get into the Other Plans area?? Not sure what that was all about. Then, Georgia Lee kinda flamed at some of us by PM, saying we shouldn't cause trouble. What??? So here we are and here you are. A happy place.

Evening Y'all,

I see more and more are joining the cool1:!! It is the chit chat so to speak that makes this thread so valuable. I appreciate the prayers and concern when it come to my Dad. I talked with him this afternoon about if he can't walk or get out of bed he can't stay at the ranch. I don't think getting 24 hr help in would do much and he doesn't want anyone there, except my mother.

Lisa, I don't know on the WL. I would be very interested in hearing what Diane says. The 26th isn't too long off and you can get an answer. I have to keep reminding myself this isn't a quick fix as so many programs are. The quick fixes are why we all put the weight back on.

Robin, when I are you having time to see Ken???????????? You are one busy lady.

Kathy, the wedding pictures are wonderful. I love the barn. What a neat place and everyone looks so happy. I love looking at pictures ............almost seeing into their soul at times.

Nell, great work on your test, I forgot to tell you. That is exciting to have your folks come for Thanksgiving.

Cindy, just thinking of 5 kids wears me out these days!! Your story is a miracle in itself...........I know you appreciate everyday no matter what!

Hi. This is how it started in the other thread I think, then it got worse with the administration deleting our shares and a discussion about keeping the thread from splitting being overrode. It was just horrible in my opinion.

I don't know! It was insane. They said they were rude or inappropriate. But you know us, we aren't rude or inappropriate. The thing is, it was us talking among ourselves working something out and it was really freaky to have big brother come in and say who could talk and who couldn't.

Pam, having an opinion was not by any means a problem. Please feel safe to give your ideas any time. No one should have their heads bitten off for anything. We've all agreed to be honest here and communicate. We're not going to allow that to happen again.
