Basic gist, appears Mando and Grogu go on an adventure to take out Empire loyalists.

I don’t usually care to view trailers either, this one may have a few things spoiled you may not want to have viewed.

Can definitely tell a solid chunk of this was filmed on the Volume, which would explain why it may be one of the cheapest Star Wars films made at a reported $166M

The trailer looked fun. I'm hoping it's more in line with Seasons 1-2 of Mando than Season 3. I'm still annoyed they're making a movie of this, but excited about taking my six-year-old.

(The X-Files: Fight the Future is still the absolute pinnacle of tv show being turned into a movie - which released IN BETWEEN SEASONS and continued the storyline/mythos - so I'm very judgy about this. )

I'm still annoyed they're making a movie of this

My understanding is that this movie is the lead-in to Ashoka season 2 and then Dave Filoni's "Endgame" style Mandalorian universe movie to tie all the D+ series threads together. There is going to be more back-and-forth between D+ series and theatrically released movies, as I understand it.

But SW is such a huge mess. Plans may change. Like you, I don't understand why TWDC and Lucasfilm felt a streaming series being exhibited as a feature film is a good idea and how this improves SW brand and its overall direction.

After watching the trailer, I was left shaking my head and I won't be seeing this movie its opening weekend. It will be the first SW movie I have not attended opening weekend. Maybe I won't even go. I don't know. I'm happy others love this thing. It does not work for me.

Never going to make everyone happy, that is for sure....

I will go see it. I expect it should be fun and entertaining.

I think it will be more about doing interesting bounty jobs and an exploration of what it means to be a Mandalorian

Martin Scorsese cast in the film as one of the characters shown during the trailer is kind of amusing.

Well, I did have to watch it since the basic spoilers were just everywhere. It didn't show too much, just some characters.

Just saw an ad for "The Mandalorian" during the Olympics. It was telling people to watch the trailer online and just had a bit of it, but the really cute part was at the beginning when there was a shot of Grogu gliding across the ice on a curling stone.

Looks really good, a very solid trailer there. This improved my hope for what this movie could do. I still don’t think it will be a smash hit, but looks like a solid movie.

However, I liked TLJ trailers a good bit too and that movie was hot garbage. So I have been fooled before.

Trailer had a nice tribute to Carl Weathers in there in Aurebesh. One of the overhead doors spells out “Weathers Apollo”
