LOL I was just coming to post that and you beat me to it. So exciting. Loved him as Sandor Clegane.
It’s fitting he got it also being close friends with Ray. I look forward to seeing where they take his character.LOL I was just coming to post that and you beat me to it. So exciting. Loved him as Sandor Clegane.
He def brings a new sense of menace to the role.
this looks to be so, so fun!!! So thankful they're keeping Hondo in it, his animatronic is so great. And the engineers get a little more to do. DS and I love riding Smuggler's run over and over as single riders, and mostly you're the engineer, which we know, so nice to have a little something more to do. We often do the regular line at least once, so a couple of us can be pilots. I hope they'll be a way to experience all the new places, scenes. I wonder how much control the crew will really have though, it's often mixed groups.Parks Blog post on the updates:

Take Control with New Powers for the Crew
Starting May 22, 2026 at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will allow guests to control the iconic ship like never before. For the first time ever, the crew will be in control of their own destination, leading to potential adventures on Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor, or the just-announced bustling city-planet, Coruscant. Another new gameplay addition allows the engineer positions to communicate with Grogu during the mission.
Mando and Grogu Join the Adventure
We’re so excited that these updates debut on the same day as Lucasfilm’s upcoming title, The Mandalorian and Grogu, however, the attraction’s storyline will follow a different path.
In this new thrilling storyline, Hondo Ohnaka has gotten wind of a deal going down on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and a band of pirates. There’s a generous bounty for their capture, so you’ll borrow the iconic ship and team up with Mando and Grogu to track them down and explore the galaxy.
None of this would be possible without our partnership with Industrial Light and Magic (ILM). With their help, you are in control of your own destiny on the attraction. This technology is all built on Unreal Engine 5 by Epic Games which are the same tools ILM uses on the Disney+ show, The Mandalorian
SOOO excited. that interview was great!!! he's so funny when he talks about Chopper.Filoni on season 2 Ahsoka:
“Half of it is a really really big battle… there is going to be a war in our Star Wars, an all out throw down on a scale, as best as I can do it, as best as John and I can afford it, because we want that, and Thrawn will be involved, you’ll see a lot more of him, Ezra, Hera, she’ll be much more directly part of the action, and because you guys made such a big deal about, I put a lot more Chopper in it.”

i hope they make the piloting easier. I hate getting on there with someone who crashes all the time. My adult kids do ok as co pilots as they are gamers... me, I suck as pilot LOL, but I am a great engineer or gunnerthis looks to be so, so fun!!! I"m a terrible pilot too!! our first time riding though, youngest DS solidified the spot of favorite youngling when he gave up his pilot seat so I could pull back into hyperspace. I think I"ve only piloted one other time...maybe 2, but it's pressure!!i hope they make the piloting easier. I hate getting on there with someone who crashes all the time. At last count, it was 15 projects that had been announced (especially as in development) and never made it a screen. This does not count three different trilogies (9 movies) that had been announced (especially as in development) and have not yet become an actual movie.ETA: One of several theatrical projects still in development from Lucasfilm, including films by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, Taika Waititi and a new trilogy by Simon Kinberg
Andor is absolutely beyond amazing. The Mandalorian was fantastic for a few seasons and then suffered a slight decline in quality. The larger issue is that there have been an absolute ton of Star Wars projects, but very few have been really good to excellent. Based on what's been released, I can understand being skeptical about a new Disney Star Wars project. Also, Skeleton Crew was highly enjoyable. It was very honest and upfront about what it was and it mostly delivered.Yeah, like Andor and Mandalorian. Those really suck. I'll take new films. You can keep Star Wars locked in a nostalgia vault if you wish.
This series is fantastic. It's absolutely a must see for Star Wars fans or anyone seriously interested in how movies are made. There are now two seasons of this documentary mini-series.Apologies if this was posted earlier, but I haven't read this entire thread.
On Disney+ there's a terrific show: Light & Magic. I think any Star Wars fan or really anyone into movies and in particular special effects would enjoy the heck out of this show.
DH and I aren't even Star Wars buffs but we ate up every minute of the first episode. It's about Industrial Light and Magic and it is fascinating.
